Last movie you watched

Ubik Valis

Croatian Viking
"The Tripper"

Haha. Interesting directing-debut by David Arquette. On the surface it's a cheesy, typical horror-flick, but the implicit meaning of it makes it brilliant in a sick, twisted anti-conservatist way. (Y)

is it coz of the weird extreme that fanatics (especially in America) have taken their obsession of the series to?

coz if it is, I can't blame you, really ...

I watched the movies just before the "last" one came out ... didn't like the first trilogy (EDIT: the one that came out in the 70s) much ... I prefer the second bunch of 3 ...

That's part of it. But honestly sci-fi type movies have never interested me to begin with, so I wasn't really even attempting to watch them.

Tom, I read your review of Rambo. To be honest I enjoyed the movie and thought it was great but as soon as I left the theater I forgot everything about it. Stallone didn't go for a cinematic work of art, he basically went for the popcorn flick with one of the most bad ass characters in the history of film and from that perspective it really delivered. I went into the theater with the expectations of seeing lots of violence and lots of ass kicking and not a lot of dialogue (all three very common things in Rambo movies) and that's exactly what I got so I was satisfied with it but it wasn't a great movie by any stretch. By the way, there's no point in going to see this movie if you haven't seen the older ones, makes absolutely zero sense and I find it hard that somebody would enjoy the new one if they hadn't seen the older ones.

Yeah, i pretty much agree to be honest.

Oh and Cloverfield was excellent, especially the opening half hour.

Senior Squad
Run Fatboy Run

Simon Pegg (Shaun of the Dead, Hot Fuzz) as lead actor
David Schwimmer from Friends as Director

Good, simple British comedy. Different from Pegg's older stuff, bear in mind this was not written by him though.

Not a classic, but definitely enjoyable and very engaging. I'd recommend it. Great for a date.

7.5/10

Spot on, though 7.5 is perhaps a tad generous.

I feel for you man, I really do. Apocalypse Now is a masterpiece in every way and I find it sad that the length of the movie took away from your experience. I remember not wanting the movie to end when I saw it for the first time.

MaestroZidane, I didn't see ANY of the Star Wars movies until last year :p.

You mean the first episode...I think they were considering making a full season, as a continuation of the original series. Haven't seen anything about future episodes yet though.....

More technologically advanced features...better A.I. ....what part didn't beat the original? If you're talking about the car itself(FORD MUSTANG), then yeah, it sucks compared to the old one....it isn't sleek at ALL! If I wanted to watch a Stock Car go fast, I'd just watch NASCAR!

haha!! Tom (Y) (H) I would edit but I'll just leave it like that..

Well it was more of a movie from what I read, and it got good ratings. So maybe they will start the series in the fall.

The A.I was all great. That part that didn't do it for me was..... well the voice... :(.. aside from the car..

I watched Grbavica. Today I found out that not only Hollywood's movies are good. Even more, European movies can be much better.

Class movie though.(Y)
