Dude it's coming back for a bit.

I just watched the original episode, it's weird, i remember it being shown for the first time so it always brings back memories.

"Welcome, to the world of tomorrow!!!"

Genius.

That's my favorite episode. It has so many nuances that makes it worth watching a bunch of times. I love when he keeps pressing the suicide booth button and tries to make a collect call. (H)

Haha, how'd you sit through that?
I walked out 15 minutes into it.

Do i read that as you just saw 'Planet Terror'?
I prefered Death Proof much better.

hurhur....nah. I saw Grindhouse a while ago actually. I'm actually having trouble recalling 'it, but the reason why I brought her up is because I recently read this blurb about how she was becoming almost unhirable because of the amount of plastic surgery that she's had done on herself (the dumb c/unt), and whenever I see her in interviews, she strikes me as being a bit too overbearing for someone who doesn't seem to merit it, you know? Anyway, I used to dig her (looks) when she was in Charmed (NO HOMO...) and it saddens me that she's disfiguring herself so severely.

As far as the flick goes. I don't really know which of the two that I prefer more to be honest. I thought that they were equally awesome in their own right and complimented one another very adequately. Rodriguez's (any relations to Freddy btw?) segment was over-the-top ridiculous, as it should've been, and he packed enough gore and action into his film to appease about a dozen horror flicks, and Tarantino's was more laid back, maybe a bit more true to the genre, and (as to be expected) had the better storyline and dialogue.

I remember arguing with my friends in the theatre if the sacrificial Blonde chick in the beginning was Fergie or not. I thought that she was just a remarkable look-alike and everyone else was like "You ******* 'tard. That is hurrrr.".....hurhur. Then I was absolutely convinced that the needle specialist was none other than Uma Thurman, even going as far as to lay bets with some of 'em. I mean honestly, man. I can't be the only one who mistook her for Uma, no?

I watched V for Vendetta again the other night. It's fast becoming one of my all time favourite films! Hugo Weaving's performance as V is excellent, and the cinematography is also top notch.

Rush Hour 3.......had more laugh than Superbad/Knocked Up combined! I just love watching Tucker and Carlos*ie. I hope they make another one.

Bonzi

Starting XI
Beowulf
MUCH better than I expected. I though it would be all about 3D, but it was pretty decent in every aspect. I kind of regret I saw it dubbed, though. I would like to hear the original voices. Especially, when it comes to Ray Winstone :crazyboy:

Rocky II
One of the very best endings I've ever seen (Y) (H)

How good is Woody Harrelson in this film? One of the greatest performances I've ever seen. Absolutely phenominal.

I love the guy, and yet I could probably count the Harrelson films I've seen on one hand, and in most of those he was just supporting. A testament to the impression he makes.

The first movie I saw with him in a leading role was Natural Born Killers and he just blew me away in that. Then I saw him supporting in No Country For Old Men, a fine performance and I followed that up with his role as Larry Flynt which he played to perfection.

A very underrated actor in my book.

fantastic even in White Man Can't Jump (Y)

I watched some movies yesterday, one of them being 2 Days in Paris, with Adam Goldberg and Julie Delpy, who also wrote and directed the movie, and clearly got some tips from her Before Sunrise/Sunset director Richard Linklater as 2 Days in Paris has a lot in common with those.
it's about a 30-somethings couple ending a trip through Europe by spending their last 2 days in Paris with her family before going back home to New York, a trip they did hoping to fix their relationship that is not yet beyond repair but is starting to show some problems. Carlos's a New Yorker, very competitive, Marion's French, and they spend much of the movie talking about love and sex, and past relationships as they run up into many of her ex-boyfriends during these 2 days. The movie is also about the importance of communication as he doesn't speak French, and she has many conversations with her ex-boyfriends (and cab-drivers, strangely) in French and doesn't translate them to him, which frustates him a lot.
and with that happened something weird when I was watching the movie. apparently the movie is supposed to have subtitles for the French parts, but mine didnt. and the movie 60% english and 40 in French, and the french parts are always long discussions/conversations and I had no idea what they were talking about. But I think this actually worked for me and the movie, as I felt exactly how Carlos did.

so all in all nothing super original but a very good movie anyway. recommended (Y)

I watched The Prestige today. It's one of the best movies I've ever seen so far. Every kind of the movie art was on the highest level. I must watch it once more someday.(Y)

Good to hear, bro. I heard her hawking the flick a while ago on CBC and her engaging and warm personality made me want to go out and see it right away (huge Goldberg fan to begin with), but then I was discouraged by what a friend of mine who'd seen it had told me about it, but now that I've read your post, bro, I'll have to go out and check it out.

You should hear her talk about what a struggle it was to finance this movie, man....sheesh!
