KONAMI Official Patch 1.30.1

I really don't know why you guys are having so much problems with slowdowns and so. I'm running the game on 1280*1024 and 4X FSAA on and it runs very smooth, it's not too fast and not too slow, the speed is just perfect. Strange thing is though, that I don't even have to put the DVD in to play (yes I BOUGHT the game). My specs: Win XP Pro SP1, amd 2800+, 1 gig DDR RAM, SB Audigy2 and Geforce FX 5900

Well i have a P4 2.4Ghz, 512mb DDR RAM, Radeon 9700, Hercules Fortissimo, and WinXP Pro - and i still get occassional slowdown. Maybe my pc needs a clean up or something, because no way is my spec not up to handling this game! Although the first official patch fixed this, you can't have proper kits at the moment, without using the original exe file.

Jesus!! With that system it should run smooth as silk. Definitely something amiss there if you are still getting slowdown.:kader:

Yeah, it is annoying. As i say though, the first patch sorted it out, although even with that I can't play in 1280x1024, which i should be able to with my spec. Not tried the third patch yet, but until waterloo's editor works with these newer versions of the exe file (so you can fix the kit collars), i'll just stick with the original exe - it's just about bearable.

Awful patch ....

After installing this patch, one thing that i did notice was that the chants were removed and all you here is just generic background sounds.

Pro Evolution Soccer 3 v1.301 [ENGLISH] Fixed EXE ?

And what it does
Pro Evolution Soccer 3 v1.301 +4 TRAINER ?

I eventually managed to download it, late last night. Their file servers were 'down' (on all mirrors(!)) during the day. I think the 'trainer' helps you to cheat at the game- I could be wrong however....

The latest patch (1.30.1) works well for me...

Please don't refer to the guys at Konami as 'idots'- they're not. How quickly people turn against apparent 'Gods', eh? It's frightening.... :/ Konami have produced an extremely classy product in 'Pro Evolution Soccer 3', and it works perfectly on my PC. What I did was to uninstall the game- totally- I even cleaned the registry etc too. I now play the game with no unofficial patches whatsoever, and guess what, no more slow-downs in the penalty box!! The game doesn't even 'speed-up' from time to time either.

These are my settings for the game, and my Radeon 9700 Pro: game - 1280x1024/High Quality... graphics card - 2xaf, 2xaa; Texture Preference/Mipmap Detail level- High Quality; vertical sync- on.

PC specifications (in summary):
P4 2.4c (@2.4GHz);
Gigabyte 8KNXP Motherboard (Rev 1);
512Mb OCZ PC3500 Dual Channel DDR
Creative Audigy 2.

Come on, this is Konami's first 'PES' release fo the PC- at least they're trying with the patches. I'm using the latest patch, with a no-cd 'crack'. I hate to have to swap CDs every time I want to play a game. 'PES 3' is an absolutely amazing game, I love the game play; and the graphics are far superior to those of FIFA 2004. Konami have paid so much attention detail- light years ahead of EA's offerings!

You know what, I would rather play the game without it being littered with adboards from multinational companies!! I can live without excessive branding and 'pretty' little footballs. Maybe I'm the only person who doesn't really give a crap about official kits/names etc. Don't get me wrong, the patch makers are doing an absolutely terrific job in making the game more 'authentic'- and there's obviously a market for it! I've dabbled in using the patches, but I much prefer the individuality of PES 3. I don't want a FIFA clone in terms of aesthetics and sounds! Even the sound effects are better in PES 3, compared to FIFA 2004.

Maybe at the age of 22, I'm a little too old for the unofficial patch 'scene'....
I've played about twenty games since applying the latest patch- and have experienced no penalty box slow downs whatsoever- and believe me, I looked attentively for any signs of it. Obviously the results vary form PC to PC...

yap yap yap

fact is this is a poor job at porting a game from PS2. Other games ported from PS2 run A LOT better than PES3. It plays OK for me but not as good as it should.

yeh well happy christmas u are saying that cause u have no problems and frustrations,so of course u will love konami,but u have to understand these ppl spent hard earned money on this game and to find it dont work,they wait weeks for new patches just to find another dissapointment and to makle make matter worse them ppl know its a amazing game and they cant play it. I had a mx 420 card and i was really pi*s*d that i couldnt get it to work,i had to spend 50 pound to get it working nice.so christmas it may be konamis first attempt,but thats no excuse,u dont charge ppl £40 for something that dont work properly,ppl have been ripped off and i could understand them getting angry with ppl who say "first attempt". I agree pro evo 3 is better,but EA are more professional when it comes to release of games and looking after there customers.

PES 3:
£40 (UK Pounds Sterling) for 'PES 3' on the PC?? The average price is £23!
People have an alternative- buy one of the console versions- no-one's forced to buy the PC edition of the game. Perhaps you should have waited, just to see what the general concensus was around here, before you 'splashed out' on a copy of the game. The game does work correctly- you just need a decent PC in order to play the game properly- what's wrong with that? It's about time companies catered towards people with 'high-spec' PC's. As I said, this game is also available on the consoles...
/Edit/ Konami have produced an amazing game in 'PES 3'- it deserves to reside on a decent PC configuration. It's like complaining about the quality of a Dolby soundtrack, when you've only got two speakers.
You don't drink fine wine from a cup... /Edit/

EA Sports:
EA doesn't care about it's non-American customers, that's evident in the amount of fixes that have been released for FIFA over the past few years. FIFA 2004 is one of the most pathetic excuses for a football game, that I have ever had the misfortune of encountering (and paying for)! Hey, have you ever played FIFA 2002?? EA couldn't care less about non-American sport.

I had a mx 420 card

why on earth would u have one of those cards in your machine

its no wonder half the poeple who get slo-mo get it in the first place

your graphics card is utter carp, you were sold a dud at the time of purchase, read some reviews, do your homework and u will see why
