this is a really poor port job by Konami. EA does better at that even.

i am glad just to have PES3 running again ( trouble with drive "no dic inserted ) but prior to that problem PES3 was running without a hitch running really smoothly. But as had to reinstall due to the Drive Problem, i decided to install the new offical as I was doing this I though that I'd have to install the 1st offical patch and that the new would update the older one ..Anyhoo patches installed ( new patch said better graphics ) I don't know if it was just me or did the banner and adboard look better?? But when I kicked off things looked great until I put a passback from the halfway line to one of my defenders about 15yrds back in my own half, the play went into SLOW_MO and then back again to normal. This happened just outside the penalty box, but not all the time just sometimes???

I tinkered with DXDIAG and put my sound card down to NO Acceleration , but didn't help...

I was running this game 1280x1024 on HIGH and it was fine , but as soon as added the patches then slowmo.. yet the 2nd Konami patch was suppose to fix the slowmo???

Nack I had the same problem, and posted about it in the third message of this thread. You were probably running in Windows 98/ME compatibility mode prior to patching. If you disable that, the patched game should work fine. At least that was my problem. Hope that helps.

Did some1 meet above situation?

With those specs(similar to mine) the game must be running fine so i wouldn't other patching it mate.

Game, exactly runs fine, just wonder - what does the patch from konami and why it can't be installed on my game?

This patch doesn't work for me. In fact I think it made it worse. My CPU: 850mhz, 384mb RAM, Radeon 9200 64mb.

Yes, it's just the sad double option activated, so now you can play at 4x if you enable the on-menu double speed option.....

And you need to turn down quality settings to Low, which doesn't seem much of an improvement.

You'll have to wait until a no-cd patch based on the current 'pes3.exe' is available. Until then, I'll have to leave my DVD-ROM in the drive...
That's no problem really, as I have no-cd patches for virtually all of my other games.

If thats the case, then why does it run the same speed for me when i had it running near perfect last time?

I agree ICEMAN Konami are useless at PC games. Both patches made the game run even worse than before. I cant think of another game where I have spent so much time to try to get it to run how it should. I am never in my life going to buy a Konami game for the PC again.

Konami is like a random-button on a cd-player. Patch works for some, makes it worse for some, and some cannot install the patch

the new patch + nocd-patch fixed the slowdowns for me. Im running the game mostly on a dell500m laptop with integrated intel extreme 2 graphics

You know hwat though, the last version of FIFA has zero patches in a whole year despite it being a complete screw-up. Konami have released two patches in a short period of time, at least they're trying to sort stuff out. For some people it's worked which is great, for those who it didn't, I'm sure they'll get it right soon. At least they're constantly trying and haven't forgot about the product. I'll take that any time over EA's BS support of FIFA.

Well, if you had it running nearly perfect before, you won't notice much of an improvement or the opposite.


I run the game well at 800x600 with maximum detail on, and get slowdowns at 1024x768. With the patch, it runs the same at 800x600 and runs at normal speed at 1024x768 but it has that sttutery feeling we had trying the double speed option some time ago..
