Lucarelli in Juve talks
Created on 20 Jul 2006

Livorno striker Cristiano Lucarelli has revealed that he is in contact with Juventus.

Earlier this month the forward was given Livorno's blessing to move to Zenit St Petersburg, but made his mind up to stay with his hometown club.

However, the tide has now turned, with Livorno declaring the 29-year-old indispensable and Lucarelli harbouring doubts about his future.

Juventus have stepped up their interest as they look to compensate for the likely loss of several of their top players, and Lucarelli has admitted that he is tempted by the prospect of joining the Italian giants.

He has grown increasingly unsettled at Livorno and is in talks with the Old Lady.

"I'm in talks with Juventus," he confirmed. "It's become difficult to stay at Livorno and I won't rule out a move to Juve.

"(Livorno President Aldo) Spinelli has said that I'm not for sale, but without motivation I'm no use to anybody.

"I also have to think about the aims I have on a personal level."

Aswell,

Trez could stay, says agent
Thursday 20 July, 2006
David Trezeguet could still be leading the Juventus attack in Serie B next season, his agent has confirmed.

Reports emerging from Turin earlier this week indicated that the scandal-hit giants wanted to keep hold of the Frenchman and he seems open to all possibilities.

“We’ll decide David’s future together with the club,” Patrizia Pighini told the GRT agency on Thursday.

“On the part of the player, he has no desire for a change of environment. His future, at this moment in time, is in the hands of his club.

“When David is informed of their intentions then we will evaluate with Juventus what to do next. No decisions have been made.”

Although Pighini has clearly suggested that David could remain, she has conceded that her client has many admirers.

Trezeguet was recently linked with Lyon, but she also seemingly opened the door of two European giants.

“Lyon are not to be excluded as that would allow him to move back to France,” she continued.

“Real Madrid is a possibility too. His wife has Spanish roots and they have appointed Fabio Capello as Coach.

“Inter? A move to Milan would allow him to stay close to Turin where he has now settled.”

Some whispers have suggested that Trezeguet could be loaned out, but that is seemingly not an option. “That won’t happen,” she concluded.

The former Monaco man, who missed a spot-kick in the World Cup Final against Italy, is the club’s seventh highest scorer of all time thanks to his 125 goals.

I think Gigi staying aswell as DP and Nedved triggered some chain of events, I mean now Trez wants to stay, I hope some other stars stay, that would be so awesome. Okay, I think I'll wake up from my dream now. :(

Are there also rumours of players coming in, except for Lucarelli? Defenders?

Marco Nappi, Marco Negri, Ducan Ferguson and Alexei Lalas could come out of retirement. :(

I got nothing, nada, niente, rien...well, I heard something about Chievo's Amauri.

To tell you the truth I hope Zlatan Leaves Juventus. IMO he isn't Juventus material. Juventus is a class club thats well respected all over the world. Let Zlatan go to inter so he can rott there.
