JUVE 05-06...JUVE 07-08

Buffon.........Buffon
Zambrotta....Zebina(Salihamidzic)
Thuram........Andrade
Cannavaro....Criscito
Chiellini........Chiellini
Camoranesi...Camoranesi
Emerson.......Almiron(Nocerino)
Vieira...........Tiago(Zanetti)
Nedved.........Nedved
Trezeguet......Trezeguet
Ibrahimovic.....Del Piero(Iaquinta)

With the right choices we could get close to that old squad. Some of the guys in the 1st team of 07-08 would go on the bench/retire and be replaced with the proper players. The year after would be the one to win some trophies.

looking at that old squad I wonder how people can be so stupid and still believe that we cheated our way to 1st place on 04-05 and 05-06.
4 world cup champions, 3 sub-champions, 1 golden ball winner, emerson ibrahimovic and chiellini.

Tim Cup - 28 Aug 2007 - 3:11 PM

Players called up for the Italian Cup

Ranieri: “I wouldn't be here if it wasn't for Parma”

The Manager ready to face his ex-team for the first time after last year's positive experience there. “The Italian Cup is important to us, we want to win”

Several Juventus players will have to miss the Italian Cup away game at Parma. Camoranesi, Olivera and Zanetti are suspended. Marchionni, Birindelli and Grygera are still out - they missed Saturday's League game too -, now Nedved, Del Piero and Criscito are injured too.

The Czech player has intense post-traumatic pain in his left foot. The captain suffered contusion to his left foot. The defender has strained his left abductor muscle. But all three should be available for Sunday afternoon's game in Cagliari.

The Manager is forced to take three Youth team players for the match at the Tardini Stadium. They are: Esposito, Castiglia and Duravia.

This is the list of the 19 players travelling to Parma

1 Buffon
3 Chiellini
4 Almiron
5 Zebina
7 Salihamidzic
9 Iaquinta
12 Belardi
14 Andrade
17 Trezeguet
18 Boumsong
20 Palladino
22 Vanstrattan
23 Nocerino
28 Molinaro
30 Tiago
33 Legrottaglie
35 Esposito
36 Castiglia
37 Duravia

We have to play the best players, well, at least the best ones who are in form. I want that 10th Cup. :p

Yep, and Cannavaro the very same day (or they were just presented together, I'm not sure). I don't think Secco is cool enough to pull off something like that. :(

Cheating and all that **** aside, if Moggi was in charge of Juve after the drop to B, you guys would have 10x a better mercato than this, Im almost sure of that.

He would have closed the Milito deal in seconds.

I just wanted to suggest that juve need to buy a new right back and centre back, because right now they are rotating legrottaglie and zebina for right back, and also almost every game that I have seen boomsong play in he's made some ghastly mistake, I feel that he is unreliable and that they should replace him and acquire a new right back. Also I was wondering if there was any news on the possibilty of bringing castillo from red star belgrade to delle alpi, for I heard they were considering of making a bid.

guys the main thing i learned from this game is:

our new brigade is scoring goals. that is the most important thing. the first goal for a team in an official match just does something for your morale and self esteem.

so far we have played 2 games and 5 of our 8 have come from new signings. quite frankly i dont know what more you guys want in a team or a player. give this new team a chance to work. i mean yeah fair enuff we would love every one of the best players in the world. but the real thing that ranieri and co have done is to build a team that can challenge for titles. lets see what these guys can do.

i dont see juve signin anyone. the transfer season is less than 48 hrs from ending. this should be the juve team for the season. although something tells me we are more likely to get a defender because our depth in goals, midfield and attack is brilliant.

Forza Suarez! (ps brotha can you spare a dime?)
I was watching Rai Sport the other day and it mentioned a player exchange of Boumsoung-Luisao(Benfica). Any truth to this?

C'mon, Mark, I know you know something.

Can we rely on Boumsong and Legrottaglie if Andrade(serious injury last year), and Criscito(unexperienced but he's good) get the flu or something? A guy like Ayala(now with Zaragoza) or Cannavaro would have helped us this season to reach our CL goal.

Also a striker à la Trezeguet would be very useful. We know Trez doesn't play a full season for the last couple of years now. Iaquinta is more of a support striker like DP and Palladino. Riganò was my man but he's off to Levante for 1.3m € I think.

it was a rumor in the papers but I don't believe it. We can't play with Andrade-Luisao and Boumsong doesn't want to leave. He could be forced out but who knows. Secco really wants to get rid of him. Parma is interested.
