I'm starting to think we were being way to harsh on Conte for not being succesful in Europe. The 3-5-2 system covers up flaws of the team in Serie A, especially in defense (also in build-up), but in Europe it's just way too mediocre and predictable. A European contender would've finished off Atletico today. Playing another system with a four-man defense would just make it worse. EurOverrated.

Those green jerseys made me nauseous.

Galatasaray also played 3-5-2 against Arsenal today..

it might seem easy to sit at home and criticise big names like prandelli but, fuck it man, what was he thinking?

Galatasaray is like Juventus now, but only with worse player quality.

Yeah Atleti found a lot of 2vs1 situations on the wing (Arda goal for example)

With this team, yes. Juve still advanced to the quarterfinals in 2012-2013, which was good.

Galatasaray was an incident, in my opinion. Ridiculous circumstances with the snow and the replay the next day and then the ravished field.

I remember Isla f*cked up at Juve Stadium when Gala equalized in the final minutes.

Anyway, Juventus pulled a good performance. Calderon is the most difficut ground in Europe right now, they create like 15 chances per game and Juventus doesnt even concede corners or lateral fauls tonight.

If lichtsteiner stays goal side and doesn't get beaten by turan it's 0-0 and atletico had 0 chances

Yup, certainly seems so. I always have my speakers really loud when watching matches, and the atmosphere seemed to be just crazy tonight. The noise their fans make, and their support is astonishing alone. Must be really difficult to play there for the away team.

Mandžukić had a shot on goal first half outside the box! Had he hit the ball perfectly, it could've easily ended in the back of the net. His long shots are not very good, though. :P

So I'm blaming them rather than the coach. I'm sure Conte and Allegri didn't tell them to do that. :(

Today may have been decent from a tactical point of view when approaching a match in Calderon, but from a casual fan's point of view it was just really bad to watch. It was very predictable, no combinations, no clever plays, no individual actions. Haven't really seen any of that from Juve in the big European matches since we were supposed to be playing a role again on the big stage, so I was disappointed again tonight.

Anyway, let's see what happens against Olympiakos and Atletico at home.

Neymar has been finally put to good use this season (with Messi in the role that he's playing). I'm afraid that Suarez won't get the chance to pull off the things he did at Liverpool, i think. : (

Barça plays with 3 forwards inside like Liverpool in few games last season, some kind of diamond, thats perfect for Suarez.

On topic, Forza Juve.

F*cking Vidal. Way to win and still have mixed feelings. Apparently direct confrontation is the tie-breaker, which Olympiakos wins based on their away goals, so this could cost Juve qualification in the end. Well, this and the other dozen of missed chances.
