Let's just face it, we aren't the powerhouse we once were. We're more of an average team right now who isn't capable of enticing top players.

A lion is always lion even if he becomes old.
Btw, you already signed some good players as well. I think if Juve sign a quality player up front, they have a decent team next year.

Vucinic is okay. he's obviously not world class but he's better than what we have now.

I honestly think he is a very good choice if we are playing 16m. Once we get back into the Champions League we will be back for Rossi.

^ Krasić should take it for obvious reasons -- he can't escape the comparison, so he might as well embrace it ...

Mirko should be using #7 (not f*cking Simone Pepe) ... maybe he'll take #1+8 coz it seems Quags is not in favour ...

unfortuanetely there haven't been too many rumours of anyone else for the left
Nani :biggrinx:
I'm sorry, serious rumours :innocent_smile_1:
still don't think there's much to them, but they are back ...

the Vargas and Perotti rumours come from the more credible sources, while apparently Elia is also being considered ... the problem with Bastos remains the high asking price ...

Perotti is a good player for Juventus but Sevilla/Del Nido don't sell their best players for peanuts (Remember Baptista, Ramos, Alves etc.) and doesn't seems Juventus have many money to spend.

Someone at Juventus once believed Perrotta had it in him to be a Juventino! ;) Man, the midfield we had back then... Zidane, Deschamps, Davids, Conte. Perrotta was shipped out to Bari (after only playing 5 matches) in the Zambrotta deal. He did serve a purpose after all, hehe.

I'm also pretty excited about the possible signing of Diego Lugano. Lugano is a very determined, strong player and I think he'd form a great partnership with Chiellini. I think I read Lugano has a release fee of 3.5M euros, so I don't mind the fact he's 30. He has just the right age/experience to add something to our struggling backline.

I've read that about the release clause, and I question whether the fine print complicates things ...

or indeed if Lugano is not the first (or even second) choice on the CB shortlist ... coz otherwise it would/should have been wrapped up quite quickly ...

yeah, Perotti's not Diego Capel ...

apparently the initial inquiry was for around €8-10 mil, though Juve clearly want to use Jorge Martínez as a makeweight if possible (which certainly seems the case for the Juan Manuel Vargas bid) ...

yeah I know, I just can't stand him. never understood how he got into the Azzurri. same goes for Ambrosini, Zanetti, etc. midfielders that you can fit everywhere, but don't excel anywhere.

lol I just noticed my join date and post no.

if they can print the transfer + contract on the shirt, and get it signed for 10 mil, I don't think Juve will mind ...

Vargas can be a great solution for left area but Madrid is chasing him as well.
I think if Juve buy Vargas and one quality defender, they have a great team next year.

Still waiting for that quality defender and winger... Marotta said he's likely to make 2 or 3 more signings. Lugano/Alex, Perotti/Elia, and probably Giaccherini (the Cesena player with that legendary miss against us last year!). VAI BEPPE, VAI!!!

And this is hilarious...

Yeah, I'm unfamiliar with Perotti aswell. Elia is great... when 100% fit. I've seen him play awful games. Elia relies on being 100% fit to be explosive and to get by his man, and when he's not 100% he's pretty much useless. Perotti is supposed to be pretty inconsistent aswell, but I read Conte thinks he's a better fit for his system. Sevilla play (or played) the same in a very offensive 4-4-2.
