Benjamin as been sold to Standard de Liège. 2 year contract with an option. Just like Carini, Juve and Standard have an agreement that Juve can take him back later.

if i'm not mistaken siena bought mutu for us.
that's why we gave them so many prima-players.

not sure if it is siena though, it's either them or livorno.

It was Livorno, and they didnt ''buy'' him from us. They just registered him as a Livorno player for a while, because we were on the non-eu players limit.

didn't say from, i said for us.

since it's livorno then we probably raked in a couple million for the group of co-ownerships and loans. which is good(Y)

Alex retains winning mentality
Alessandro Del Piero has urged his Juventus teammates to start the new season in the same manner that they ended the last campaign.

Despite winning Lo Scudetto, the Bianconeri have made some classy additions to the squad and Del Piero believes it is up to the current players to pass on their winning mentality.

“Our competitive attitude is always the same and we’ll try to have it from the very beginning, to keep on winning,” said the Juve skipper.

“Last season ended in a great way and we have what it takes to repeat ourselves.

“We’ll be playing on three fronts and it’s the Coppa Italia which is our first target,” he joked. “In fact, we haven’t won it for a long time.”

And who would be the biggest rivals to Juve’s crown? “Milan has an outstanding attack, made of great players, but Inter too is a well equipped team,” he added.

“On paper, the Scudetto race will be reserved to us and the Milan clubs but, as always, what happens on the pitch will reveal the truth.”

i think that that article says that trez is 4 gols away from 100 goals in all comps for juve.:rockman::Bow:

and del piero can break two records this year
1) most gols for juve in all comps
2) most trophies won with Juve. which he, ciro, tacchi, and conte are tied on top with 15

Channel 4 Football Italia Wednesday 13 July, 2005

[font=Arial,Helvetica,Geneva,Swiss,SunSans-Regular]The Italian Press have confidently predicted that Arsenal captain Patrick Vieira will sign for Juventus by the end of the day.

The French midfield player is said to have agreed terms on a contract with the Bianconeri, which will net him £2m a season until 2009.

It will also allow him to link up again with Fabio Capello, who was Coach during his short spell at Milan as a 19-year-old.

At that time, the Senegal-born player found it hard to adapt to life in the top-flight of Italian football, but has since matured into one of the most complete midfield players in world football during his time at Highbury.

Juventus Vice-president Roberto Bettega has said that Juve are in the market for a midfield player to partner Brazilian Emerson, and that “if Arsenal decide to sell Vieira we would be in for him tomorrow.”

But Bettega also stated: “I don’t tell lies – I have been asked if I plan to travel to London the day after tomorrow and I said no. That is the truth.”

However, Corriere dello Sport insist that the deal will be concluded today for a fee of £10.5m

“I will only comment once everything has been sealed. We are interested in Vieira, but we are also interested in other players,” Juventus transfer guru Luciano Moggi said.

“Juventus always keep an eye on the transfer market, and if deals can be done, we will do them - but if Arsenal want too high a fee, nothing will happen.”

Gazzetta dello Sport also insist that the player and Juventus have agreed personal terms, and that the stumbling block is Arsenal’s valuation of £11.5m.

Should he stay or go?
Another summer, another will-he-won't-he leave Arsenal drama involving Patrick Vieira.

But this time it looks like the Gunners will not put up the kind of resistance which has seen them cling on to their skipper for the past five years.

It was back in 2000 that Juventus first came knocking, offering £16m for the French midfielder.

The following year, bids from Real Madrid, Manchester United and Juve, again, were all rejected.

Real have continued to attempt to prise Vieira from north London and seemed to have managed it last year when Arsenal accepted their £23m bid.

But Vieira made a last-minute decision to stay at Highbury - though it now seems likely to have prolonged his Arsenal career by just one season.

Juve have just confirmed their renewed interest in taking Vieira to Turin and the signs are that this time they will get their man - at a reduced price.

But, with Vieira now 29-years-old and, some say, struggling to maintain his form, why are Europe's biggest clubs so keen to acquire him?

And would Arsenal benefit most if they chose to pocket the money for a player who just a couple of season ago was regarded as the finest in the world in his position?

By his own admission, Vieira's performances were not his best last season.

The usually imperious presence and driving force of the Arsenal team faltered too often as the Gunners failed to defend their Premiership title.

Vieira also suffered technically - his passing, shooting and heading was frequently wayward - and he failed to impose himself on his opponents.

Yes, he lifted the FA Cup last season but he was largely ineffective in the final - a game which Arsenal won on penalties after being completely outplayed by Manchester United.

And Vieira has slipped down the pecking order of Premiership midfielders, with Frank Lampard the new king at the newly crowned champions Chelsea.

When Chelsea tried to boost their midfield this summer, it was Liverpool's Steven Gerrard, not Vieira, who topped their wanted list.

But in Italy and Spain, Vieira's stock remains highly valued and in demand.

Arsenal legend Tony Adams has claimed Vieira's physical style has led to burn-out and he doubts the Frenchman can remain at the top level for much longer.

Perhaps a move to the more technical, slower-paced matches in Italy and Spain would suit Vieira.

Immaculate distribution, ability to read the game and retain possession are they key requirements there.

And Vieira - at his best - has those attributes in abundance.

However, Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger may consider now is the time to replace his talismanic figure with a younger, faster, stronger version.

Maybe Wenger already has, in the shape of new signing - and highly-rated Belarus international - Alexander Hleb.

But there is no doubting Vieira's quality. When he is at the top of his game he is simply majestic.

His 6ft 3in frame cuts an intimidating figure, and his steely determination, matched by his vision and considerable skill has struck fear into the hearts of his opponents and lifted his team-mates.

But time waits for no man, and Vieira's may be up as Arsenal's fulcrum.

It remains to be seen whether he can recapture his former glories - and if the answer will come in Italy, Spain or England.

------------

Good to know the likes of Tony Adams and others agree with me in saying Vieira is no longer at the height of his powers. He may well go well at Juventus should they sign him, however I tend to thing he won't do well and think he may struggle to adapt.

Europe is played at a slower pace to that of the EPL and he never imposes himself there.

Pires favours Juve, reveals agent

Arsenal winger Robert Pires is interesting Italian side Juventus but will not move to Galatasaray, according to his agent.

Turkish club Galatasaray claimed they were close to signing the 31-year-old French international.

But Stephane Courbis told Turkish newspaper Vatan: "Galatasaray? We haven't got an offer from that club.

"Right now Juventus is the only interested party. It is not possible Pires can go to any club in Turkey."

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger was equally unaware of Galatasaray's interest.

He said: "We haven't got an offer from their manager nor anybody else. I am hearing for the first time that Galatasaray are interested."

The chance of a deal going through is getting higher
Galatasaray vice-president Turgay Kiran

Galatasaray vice-president Turgay Kiran is insistent, however, that the club are serious in their bid to sign Pires.

He said: "The talks are going on. Since Pires lowered his price, the chance of a deal going through is getting higher."

But Courbis added: "The price of our player is £2.75m a year. Lowering the price is not an issue you can discuss."

Galatasaray president Ozhan Canaydyn earlier said: "The agreement has not been reached yet, but we can say that we are making progress towards finalising it."

Pires has also been linked with Juventus, Valencia and Lyon and has spoken favourably about a move to Spain - or a return to France.

He joined Arsenal from Marseille in July 2000 for £6m and has scored 73 goals in 206 starts for the Gunners.

Pires refused a 12-month extension to his Highbury contract, which is due to expire in summer 2006, as he is holding out for a two-year deal.

I simply can't see Arsenal selling Vieria for a measly 10.5M, no matter what Tony Adams says. BTW Pires would be brought in to be a sub right? Cause Nedved and Camo are the starters on the wings?

I don't know Rob... I believe Vieria to Juventus would be a great choice for the frenchman and I believe he would fit in very well with their style of play. It would be a good move for Juve.
