i must be one of the few people against putting zambrotta at RB...chiellini has great offensive skills, but isn't good on defence, we have RB's who are good on defence but not good at offence, and some RB's who are good at offence and not good on defence.our current LB Zambrotta is quite possibly the best LB in the game today, why are we gonna switch his position?

unless Chiellini (under the discipline of Capello) becomes better defensivley, we should leave Zambrotta where he is.

Well I always was against his move to RB, because he is my favourite and he is the best on his position, but mainly because I think we're better with Zambro on LB and Zebina on RB (if we don't get a better one) than with Chiellini as a LB and Zambrotta on RB. But this is my opinion because they just got used togheter and it would be a mistake to change them so early. I mean when Zambrotta goes up (usually gets back :p), Zebina stays back, and they always switch that role, which is a great thing.

santino why are you referring to it as "we" should leave zambrotta where he is. are you turning juventino on us? could we have transfered yet another romanista. after capello, zebina and emerson is santino the new inclusion??:P

Don't need me, but want me ;)

I wasn't aware the gloryhunting Juve fans, or the new wave of Juve fans that appeared once Zlatan was signed had "class" mark ;)

There's very few Juve fans with class...i'm not saying roma's fans are any better, because we make you bleed (frisk).

i wouldn't want zambro to move for the sake of playing chiellini

no harm in trying though

zebina and chiellini aren't far apart quality anyway, despite playing slightly different

Capello Defends Del Piero

The Bianconeri’s coach also commented about the rivals’ latest purchases.
Juventus have strengthened themselves a lot with the purchase of Patrick Vieira from Arsenal, however Fabio Capello also believes that both the Rossoneri and Nerazzurri have improved a lot with their latest acquisitions.

“Milan have made an excellent purchase with Gilardino. Well done also to Inter for taking Pizarro, but he will not be able to play with Veron.”

There are rumours that Capello will be offered an extension to his current contract.

“I’m happy that the Bianconeri officials are getting along with me; also I’m getting well with them.”

Finally one last comment about Del Piero, as the Juventus boss believes that Pinturicchio should be left alone by the media.

“There’s always too much talk about him,” concluded Capello.
It would be great if he'd extend too.

about capello playing zambrotta at right-back i don't think much of it really because i see it as he's simply testing the waters, i mean he has this wonderful option and it is pre-season so why not experiment with it. if he starts using it more then it would be time for those who were against it to sob and those for it to rejoice and proclaim yourselfs god.

and sorry for going back this far but who are Bianco and Giovinco??
i saw thier names when mark posted the match report they came on for Nedved and Del Piero respectively, and i wondered if they were primvera players or maybe more contest winners. i'm hoping that they are actual players though.......

Trezeguet: “I like the trident”

“It was the first match where I played for 90 minutes and I’m satisfied. Despite a very hard training at this stage, I feel good and had no problem keeping forces for the whole game.”
David Trezeguet, left his mark regularly against Biellese too; the Frenchman scored three goals, making the most of trident slashes: “It’s a new method that we’re practicing and could become a viable alternative. For us forwards it’s clearly harder, but I like it, because allows a more offensive football.”. David is particularly confident: in this season he wants to get over the troubles of the past: “During the last championship I had a lot of problems and, even if I was able to score important goals, I want this to be my resurgence season. The Company bought great players and this is an incentive for everyone of us, because it’s a clear sign of commitment towards winning all and we will do our utmost to make it happen.”

definitely more attacking free-flowin football when we use the trident.
but one thing i wonder about if we use the trident during the season is who will play the three in the middle.
a)Camoranesi/Nedved---Emerson---Vieira
b)Giannichedda/Blasi---Emerson---Vieira
c)Camoranesi---Emerson/Vieira---Nedved

in that last friendly we played C) w/ emerson but i only think that vieira didn't play cus it was a friendly and he was fatigued.
i think that during the season i would play with A)

What trident is he talking about? This?

---------Zlatan---------Trez

---------------Del Piero

Seems good, especially if this is behind it.

---Nedved------Vieira------Emerson

Strong and impressive. But what about Camo? A sub? Because I doubt Capello and his defensive fetish will bench Emerson and put Camo in instead. It wouldn't really be needed since DP and Nedved would already be the offensive "part" of the midfield. Just my thoughts.
