what do u guys consider an average pc anyways?

cuz i bought mine as average... and i bought a video card that is great for what it is being used for and i got it for $100 american currency.. , it is a x1650 pro with 512mb of mem. , and i do run bioshock flawlessly, My pc is 2.5 yrs old.

So, if you think about it, if pes2008 turns out to be better than fifa next-gen this topic is irrelevant because we will have the next-gen pes2008 :amika:

Yes, FIFA is BY FAR better than PES for next-gen in certain aspects. However PES still beats FIFA in gameplay. That's why I want it.

And PES next-gen soooooo does not look like PES for PS2... (ok, maybe a little)

cuz i bought mine as average... and i bought a video card that is great for what it is being used for and i got it for $100 , it is a x1650 pro with 512mb of mem. , and i do run bioshock flawlessly, My pc is 2.5 yrs old.

Mine's 4 years old...bought it with $500 and it could run PES 2008 flawlessly. I would consider mine average...

1536 mb pc 5300 memory
250gb HD

i guess i got it for a cheap then , cost me $800. I was thinking of investing in a console too, but feel that it would probably be a waste of money.

Yap, yours is ABOVE average...I hope to get a new PC this winter, passibly around $800-$1200...however I wanna keep it for AT LEAST 6 years

I would not buy it. Honest. And this is the one year I said I was going to try to get into it after many, many years of never playing Fifa. I tried the demo. I enjoyed the sounds. But playing this game requires you to be zoomed out, at which point kits and crap don't matter because you never see them unless there is an animation. I say this as someone who played using the TV field of view. If there is something I'm doing wrong as a noob, please let me know. This game isn't worth buying. The 07 demo was about the same as this game. Not much different. Answer is a tough "No".

Thanks for your insight man! I don't think it's worth it either. FIFA 08 for PC should've been called FIFA 07 v2.0

I play fifa but I will never buy it..if you know what I mean..why waste money when it is available all over the net. I got fifa07 a day before its release in UK, it works fine but not worth the £30 price tag.

while i am going to buy fifa08 3 days before it's officially released.. because it's easy and cheaper (1/12 of the original price) then i am going to buy the original because fifa08 is not that crap at all. the gameplay is better than fifa07 and we all know that we can improve the game together in this forum :mexican:

not like that man the gameplay is not the same as fifa07. cpu plays better now. i like how cpu build up their attacking.. and the defence works great than before. the players seems to have more decisions/ options that can be made and they make it faster at the right time.

but ea still not fix the player's neck and mouth sometimes really look awkward in the cinematic. the pace of the game should be slower. hoping that the final version will be better! (:/)

but they said this is an "old version" of the game and the A.I. and gameplay and **** is is not updated. lets hope thats true. if not fifa 08 will suck ass.

I can run bioshock 'gorgeously' on my two year old pc.....fact.

I could run fifa next-gen on my two year old pc 'gorgeously'... fact.

So don't tell me what and what I can't run on my pc.

Meduim pc's could handle next-gen fifa.....fact.

Even if it meant scaling the graphics down, 100% of pc users would rather have the next-gen gameplay, the graphics come second.

And, we have only seen the videos of fifa next-gen though, you are assuming it's going to better than pes2008 without any real foundation.

The graphics sux and the rest is like fifa07 with different layout...so i think that fifa07 is way better than fifa08
