for those who played the demo, is it any good?

the demo is horrible the way players move and shoot is better but still sucks hardcore. computer teams players are always way faster than ur players no matter what team u and they use and the player. the ref is still mega biased towards computer. etc etc. its barely improved from fifa 07

but they said this is an "old version" of the game and the A.I. and gameplay and **** is is not updated. lets hope thats true. if not fifa 08 will suck ass. for PC and last gen. for next gen thats different.

Hey guys, I had a quick question. After reading your comments about the demo, and seeing that it was HORRIBLE, a question came into my mind.

Is it really worth getting a new Fifa when you know that it's the same (or very similar to) as Fifa 07?

I wouldn't buy it, because I see very few changes compared to 07, but I see that all the kitmakers have moved on to 08 when the game hasn't even been released yet. The only reason I would buy it would be to also make kits for it.

What do you guys think? I'd like to hear your opinions...

If you thought the demo was horrible why the hell would you buy the game .....you buy a game for gameplay, atmosphere,entertainment and to enjoy it etc ... you don't buy it just to make bloody kits for it , do you ??????

EA love people like this, the people that buy their lazy effort crap year after year.

The fact they didn't produce the pc version as next-gen is the biggest insult and show's their attitude towards pc gamers.

u know why that is gaucho. its because no one cares about the PC version 75% or more of the ppl who have fifa games on PC downloaded it. and the total amount of ppl who have PC version (legal or illegal) doesnt even come Close to the amount of ppl who have the console versions. so they arent wasting the effort in spending time on PC or last gen because itllbe a waste of their time because there isn't too many ppl who BUY the game for PC/Last gen

thats like saing sony should spend just as much time making games for PS2 as PS3 where the logic? PS2 is old and out of date.

and soon enough everyone will make the switch to PS3/xbox 360/wii.

if you cant afford to buy a PS3/xbox 360 than your getting what you can afford and that is old out of date technology.if you dont want to switch to PS3/xbox 360. than thats your problem and yet your gettign what you paid for. if you want the best quality you gotta pay for it. its like that for everything. example sattelite recievers u can get decent regular TV quality for cheap or u can pay alot more and get top quality (HD) tv.

you get what you paid for. now deal with it.

You are so wrong. First, EA didn't put next gen effort into PC cause you need a super high end PC to run Fifa 2008 as smoothly and gorgeous as the 360 version. Fact. You can't run Bioshock, Gears and games like that on average PC's either. And that's fact. They make games for the masses not for the 3 or 4 people who have a superb Alienware setup! You can always get extra memory and a $500 graphics card but most people wouldn't waste their time or cash not to mention configurations, glitches and problems that are so prominant on PC's.

On to the 360 & PS3 versions...from what I've seen and read so far those versions are superb. I know EA has been putting out sh!t Fifa games for some time but they are taking next gen serious which is more than I can say for another company whose name I'll not mention.

Actually 360 & PS3 are meant to be relevant for years. The Xenon grfx card on the 360 is top of the line. It is what next years High end grfx cards will be. That's fact. Remember consoles are dedicated gaming machines. and both PS3 and 360 will have great running and looking games on it for years to come. My PC, excuse me, Mac is where I work and my 360 is where I play. PC's are too high maintanance for me. My Macs have been practically bulletproof for years. No viruses or any other nonsense PC's are battling with no positive outcome for years. Enjoy your PC and make sure you stay on top of it to keep it clean.

Even if it meant scaling the graphics down, 100% of pc users would rather have the next-gen gameplay, the graphics come second.

And, we have only seen the videos of fifa next-gen though, you are assuming it's going to better than pes2008 without any real foundation.

The PS3 grfx card is dated. 360 looks gorgeous, I'm sure you've seen its killer games like Bioshock and Gears of War and ithasn't hit full stride yet. The best looking games should arrive in 2-3 years minimum. Its a dedicated gaming machine. Other factors go into how a game looks besides a grfx card. Keep playing catch up with the PC. By the way, what type of PC ran Half Life2 flawlessly? Please don;t tell me an average PC would! It's a lie. Now go spend 500 dollars on another card if you wish.

Gaucho-Gaz, I totally agree with everything that you have said man, 100% I feel exactly the same way as you do about PC's and about the bums at EA. Like you, I think PC could easily overpower consoles if developers would pay more attention to PC's. In the long run, PC's will outlast the consoles because PC equipment is constantly updated whereas consoles are not...they will grow obsolete. PC's are just as good as 360's now, and next year they'll be better than PS3's. I really hoped that we could boycott EA and Fifa 08 (a game which sould be called for PC Fifa 07 v2.0). However, there will be people that will buy it even though they know there is no difference. Plus, I REALLY can't wait for PES 2008, it's going to be SICK for PC

Buddy, we don't want consoles because OUR PC's CAN OUTLAST THEM BY A LONGSHOT, not because we can't afford them. And I'm not going to spend hundreds of dollars constantly upgrading my hardware when upgrading my PC is MUCH cheaper. It's something called PRORITISING pal.
