Zakov;2879578 said:I guess the next step is keeping the group of players that won the CL together.
Dougie Maicon is the only one I could see Mourinho coming back for ... and apart from him, I don't see any of the major contributors moving away ...Horatiu;2879580 said:The group will stay together, they are like a family with Zanetti, Cambiasso, Materazzi, Stankovic, Samuel, Maicon etc...
Zakov;2879578 said:The big problem is filling the vacant post left by Jose.
I read in the papers that Sneijder was quoted to having preferred Guus Hiddink.
I can't think of any other names tbh. The other one is Roy Hodgson, but I doubt Inter will want him anyways.
Mihajlović is replacing Prandelli at Fiorentina ...Horatiu;2879580 said:Benitez and Pellegrino are in the mix. And Mihajlovic but I would hate to have him, he was a very dirty player and spat on people.
Siniša was an extremely talented player, and a born leader ... him spitting at Mutu does not change that ... and if anyone has watched Catania this year, they will know exactly why Mihajlović is being considered -- his Catania side played with a real attacking verve, and took on (and took out) the big teams (including a full-strength Inter) with commanding displays ... I'm really looking forward to seeing what he can do with a Fiorentina team who are low on confidence, but who have shown under Prandelli in the last 2 seasons that they can play some attractive attacking football ...Zakov;2879641 said:I remember that very clearly indeed. What was it? 2-3 times at Mutu, for no reason? Hopefully he won't get the Inter job, but its probably unlikely anyway.

where did you hear that? coz that can only be good news for Inter fans ... unfortunately, all the Italian tabloids still have Rafa as a strong contender for the Inter job, now that Capello is almost guaranteed not to be the new coach ...Horatiu;2880674 said:I heard Benitez going to Milan, I could see him there.
any particular reason? coz it's not on his teams' performaces, surely?Horatiu;2880674 said:I would like Zenga to be brought.
purely coz he spit at the druggie Mutu? or do you have other reasons?Horatiu;2880906 said:Mihajlovic is a scum bag, I don't care if he is attacking and has a strong presence.
Rafa clicking with the aging Argentinians isn't going to make the difference ... plus, he is completely untested in calcio, and has shown himself to be severely incompetent on the transfer front ...Horatiu;2880906 said:About Rafa.. I heard it on some gossip site and that Berlusconi is a fan of his. He wouldn't be the worse choice but not the best either, maybe he can click with the Argentinians in the squad.. he had a few at Liverpool too.
yeah, Lippi and Capello can take a hike, but I'd have loved to see Trappatoni at Inter!!Horatiu;2880906 said:And I'd like Zenga just because he is a true Interista. He also has gained some important coaching experience over the years. I also remember he had some success in Romania. I'd also rather Moratti go with some younger foreign managers instead of the same old Capello or Lippi.

fair enough ... maybe I'm a little biased, coz I grew up with Serbs ... but I don't think a person's skill as a manager can be judged on whether a player used to spit or not ... I remember reading about Rijkaard spitting at Rudi Völler ... Totti got banned from EURO 2004 for spitting ... Zidane had a spitting incident in mid 90s ... and spitting aside, there are other disgraceful acts ... for example, Bergkamp, who always tried to land hard on players with his studs as he rode challenges ... all of it very "scummy" ... can't knock anyone's skill on that basis though, nor their managerial abilities ...Horatiu;2880937 said:I've watched him play a lot of Inter games and I never liked his attitude, always played dirty and always had an arrogant attitude. I don't even know about the Mutu incident. I have seen him spit on at least another Serie A player (probably more). Anyone who spits I can't respect in my book.
People on a big Inter forum also agree with my view and don't want Miha.
Horatiu;2880937 said:And Gasperini would be my #1 Italian manager choice too. He can be reunited with Milito and Motta too.
I thought his retirement was decided a month or so ago? I definitely remember reading about it ...Horatiu;2903881 said:Toldo retires.
Moratti is very good at this, so I'd expect him to ensure strong ties between Toldo and the club ...Horatiu;2903881 said:Hopefully he stays with the club as a coach or something. He seems like a really nice guy.
