Welcome jim. We are running thin here, so it's good to have a new fan posting!

Well rumour has it that we are ready to ship off our top two strikers (Adriano and Martins)

Real make tempting Adri offer

Real Madrid are set to tempt Inter into selling Adriano by offering Ronaldo and Antonio Cassano in exchange.

Reports in Italy on Tuesday suggest that the Spanish giants are ready to sacrifice their two attacking talents for the unhappy Brazilian striker.

Adriano has had a problematic season at the San Siro and has openly admitted that this could be his last with the club.

Real recently admitted that they were looking to sign an offensive player with Adriano’s characteristics and a swoop may now occur.

Whispers claim that the Bernabeu club are ready to take part in a £25m deal even if it is unclear at this stage how that figure will be paid.

They could include both Ronaldo and Cassano in the offer or cash, of around £20m, plus just the Italian who has failed to perform in La Liga since his January switch.

The Nerazzurri may be persuaded by such a proposal, especially as that money could then be re-invested in Palermo forward Andrea Caracciolo.

The latter is admired by the Milan giants who could make a bid for the Italian international if Adriano is sacrificed.

Martins key in Henry bid

Inter are hoping to win the race to sign Arsenal striker Thierry Henry by including Obafemi Martins in their proposed offer.

Although both Barcelona and Real Madrid seem to be leading the chase to sign the forward, if he leaves London, reports insist that the Nerazzurri haven’t thrown in the towel just yet.

Henry has the admiration of Inter owner Massimo Moratti who is contemplating bringing him into the line up, possibly in place of Real Madrid target Adriano.

Now Inter are keeping their fingers crossed that they could tempt Arsenal into accepting an approach by offloading Martins.

The Nigerian is understood to be rated by Gunners boss Arsene Wenger who feels that his pace would fit well into his footballing philosophy.

Even if Henry doesn’t arrive, Martins may still be allowed to leave the Serie A outfit after a relatively disappointing campaign in front of goal.

The youth team product has grabbed nine goals in the League, two in Europe and one in the Coppa Italia.

Arsenal could still be his next destination even if Tottenham, Manchester United and Newcastle United are also understood to be monitoring his situation.

getting cassano would be amazing, I can't believe moratti did not even consider him a transfer target in january. I really hope we pursue this "made in Italy" transfer strategy this summer as well as promote our youth players. Andreolli shown some promise this year. Does anyone know anything about Momente? I know he's a forward, but is he more of a target man or a supporting striker? Does he look like he could eventually play for the first team?

To be honest I can't see Ruud and Adriano working together effectively. Either of them need to be partnered with a more creative player to be at their best.

I'm not too hot on Nistlerooy to begin with, yes he's a prolific goal scorer but he's get up there in years and he's never played in Italy before. Besides, we have a history of buying up stars who are past their prime and expecting too much of them

Inter swoop for Dacourt

Inter will face Roma in the Coppa Italia Final, but Olivier Dacourt could find himself playing for the Nerazzurri next season.

The French midfielder is out of contract at the end of the current campaign and has not been able to agree a new deal with the cash-strapped Olimpico outfit.

It’s reported in both the ‘Gazzetta dello Sport’ and ‘Tuttosport’ that Inter have swooped for the 32-year-old and reached a deal.

A new midfielder is needed, as Cristiano Zanetti is ready to join Juventus on a free transfer in the summer.

However, there are also rumours that former Leeds United man Dacourt has received offers from Tottenham and Liverpool, while Olympique Lyonnais are interested.

Inter boss Roberto Mancini will have the opportunity to watch him closely when they face Roma in the Coppa Italia Final on May 3 and 11.

Materazzi is a clone of Kramer (Y)

anyways...

1-1 FT at the Olimpico for the first leg of the Coppa Italia finals...

Cruz and Mancini scoring for each team..

Roma had most of the posession and chances throughout the game, and we just sort of sat back after scoring the first goal. Adriano had a nice chip pass to set up the Cruz goal (which looked kind of offside) but other then that he was getting owned by none other then Mexes. (N).

De Rossi is outstanding and he better be in Lippi's starting 11.

nice to see boumsong make the assist on cruz's goal

By the way, is it just me or has cesar seen more playing time than solari in half the games? What the hell has this guy done to deserve so much time? Mancini's preference for his Lazio boys is a real shame because of the damage it does to his credibility :nape:

So true man, I've been saying this all year, even when Cesar wasn't on the squad and Kily was the backup to Stankovic. Solari is a great player and has proven it in the small amount of games he has played in.

Back to back Coppppppppppppa Italiaaaaaaaaaaaaaa. 3-1 win over Roma (4-2 on agg.)

Cambiasso's goal to open the scoring was sheer brilliance. Outstanding volley, hit it perfect.

Cruz is byfar our best striker. He made Adriano look like Simone Inzaghi today.

Now let's win some bigger trophies next year k? :)

Goals:

Cambiasso 1-0
Cruz 2-0
Martins 3-0
Nonda 3-1
