Figo, what a player. I´m a big fan of him but i didn´t expect this impact in his first season in a league as difficult as the Serie A. Although the championship is already "won" by Juventus, i hope you guys get some silverware.

Thnx for the support, sir. I suppose we're good for a Coppa Italia repeat..... :)

I just don't get Mancini

Why would he play Kily Gonzalez instead of Solari

Kily always plays bad while Solari sometimes plays great

Inter will come to Hong Kong in late May this year, 99% possible, to play with a local club Happy Valley here. But due to the World Cup finals, players like Adriano, Cambiasso, J. Zanetti will not come.

However, Recoba, Martins, Cordoba, and hopefully my favourite player Veron will come!

And heard that the Hong Kong side Happy Valley want to invite Eto'o to play for them in this match against Inter.

By the way, how to pronounce the names of the players? like Cordoba, Recoba, Martins, Veron... any special pronunciation/stress or any nicknames?

thanks

Inter look to Lucho Gonzalez
Saturday 25 March, 2006
The Portuguese Press claims this morning that Inter are showing an interest in Porto midfielder Lucho Gonzalez.

Newspaper A Bola suggests that several Nerazzurri scouts have already been to Oporto to view the player and returned with glowing reviews.

It’s also reported that Coach Roberto Mancini is pushing for this transfer to be pursued in a bid to strengthen his options in the middle of the park.

Lucho Gonzalez came to their attention when he starred in Porto’s 2-0 victory over Inter in the Champions League group phase back in October, 2005.

He is a 25-year-old Argentina international who scored in his debut, a 3-1 friendly win over Honduras in January 2003, and took a key role in both their 2004 Copa America and Olympic campaigns.

Gonzalez joined Porto from River Plate in April, 2005, and can play either in front of the defence or as a right-winger.

Inter currently have eight Argentines in their 31-man squad and eight Italians.

(8) Another one bites the dust... (8)

Really, how can a club have just 8 players from its country out of the hole roster? Nevermind those 8 argentinians :nape:.

Nah, you pretty much pronounce them as you see 'em, but make sure that you prefix Recoba and Cordoba's names with "King", okay?

So if you ever do get to approach them, be sure to bring them an offering of some kind be it yourself, cattle, or (if you could pull it off), Michelle Kwan, and address them respectively as King Recoba and King Cordoba the 'Cobra."

Hey, Juventini, tell me where in the league regulation laws it says clubs have obligations to country over themselves and are responsible for the development of native youth for the NT? Honestly, I'd really like to know if such a law exists

The only flag that these clubs recognize and pledge allegiance to is this one.......

It's up to the respective countries in my opinion to develop a national youth program (I think some already have) and keep a track of their up and coming stars. It's too much of a burden for clubs to always have to worry about setting aside some spots for natives at the expense of the best player available whether he be an Argentinian or some mountain trash from nowheresville.

Internazionale

Elo Ratings
PARMA - Fabio Simplicio scored as in-form Parma beat Inter 1-0 in Saturday's Serie A Week 31 clash at the Ennio Tardini to record their fourth consecutive win and end the Nerazzurri's unbeaten run of five league matches.

The result keeps Mancini's side two points behind AC Milan ahead of this evening's clash at the Meazza between the Rossoneri and Fiorentina.

Inter started the brighter and were presented with two early chances as Dejan Stankovic glanced a header inches wide of the post before going just as close with a 20-yard strike from the distance.

Alvaro Recoba then forced Luca Bucci into a difficult one-handed save with a shot on the turn then Walter Samuel had a header blocked by the Parma keeper.

The Gialloblu took the lead from a counter-attack six minutes before the break. Bernardo Corradi ran on to a pass down the left, entered the Inter area then crossed for Simplicio to fire past Toldo after a defensive mistake by Wome.

Toldo pulled off a terrific point blank save from Corradi's fierce diagonal shot then made a two-fisted save from Mark Bresciano's curling free kick as Parma made the better start to the second period. The Nerazzurri keeper was called into action again with two more saves in quick succession from the Australian midfielder.

Mancini threw on Cruz and Martins to join Recoba in attack and the balance of play changed as Inter got forward more in the final stages. But Luca Bucci did what De Sanctis did in midweek, parrying headers from Recoba then Cambiasso to deny the Nerazzurri a late equaliser.

PARMA 1-0 INTER (HT: 1-0)

thanks but I want to ask more... :p

So, I should yell "King Cordoba" (Cor 'do ba / 'Cor do ba / 'Cor do va?), King Re'coba/'Recoba ?

And for Veron, should I say Juan / Seba / Veron / his nickname...like 'little wizard' in other language? and is it pronouced as Ve'ron or 'Veron? Hu'an / Yu'an?

Sorry for these many questions...but I am not a big fan of Inter, I just appreciate their style of play and like to watch they play. And you know, as a Chinese-speaking 17-yo boy, I am not good in English and let alone Spanish/Portugees...

btw, what language do those players speak and do they understand English?
I wish I can approach Veron my idol when Inter come...If I can get his autograph I will be like crazy!!!

thanks very much again!

Solari!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

2 goals from Santi and 1 from Oba gave us the 3-0 win over Messina.

Our squad was so weak, but they played so well in the first half.
