i dont know, not so much as in cm01/02 but from my experience you can get 2 good tactics together to make a killer formation.

eg. Home and Away tactics, works for me. Unbeaten in 4 months.

ultra-defensive tactics always work for me, 5 defenders on one line, 3 def. mids. Than you can sit back and score 2 or 3 from counters

Well, when you've got a great team you can do with a average tactic. Some tactics i used with Barça didnt work for Villa, then i started a Roma game and the tactic got me up to 2nd and i've only lost 2, one against Inter (btw, i wasnt using the tactic that game) and Juve, both away. Not saying your tactic is average.
