I'm still waiting for his ban from the Man City thread, btw... Mods... help.

As for the thread, easy choice for me:

So many things about this game that I would change. I think people were easily distracted by how rigged this game actually was because it was such a miraculous incident, and because it was an English team back in the days of Italian domination, just made it so much worse.

1) Before Pool's 2nd goal, the linesman had flagged offside while Liverpool had possession, and for some reason the referee simply waved away the flag and allowed Pool to play on. About a minute later, Smicer scores (albeit Dida's a ******* git and should've had it, but what can you do).

2) Gerrard's dive winning the penalty for the 3-3. And people tend to finger Italians for diving. Classic.

3) Shevchenko managing to hit Dudek twice in extra time with the whole goal gaping at him (7:49ish of the video). I cringe every time I watch that.

4) Dudek taking about 3 steps forward on Pirlo's penalty. I know Juve fans are gonna call me a hypocrite because Dida did similar **** in 2003, but to that I say **** you all :(.

5) Sheva's penalty. Worst penalty he's ever taken at such a crucial time.

After Greece winning, I said to a friend next to me "these guys won't even go to WC 2006". Guess what?

hahah I said the exact same thing to my Greek friend. He was in the belief that Greece had young, up and coming players that were a lot better than those who won the Euro. :clapwap:

Not to take anything away from the 2004 team though, no matter how you do it (unless you cheat, obviously), winning such a competition is definitely a great achievement.

Easy choice for me too.

Anyway it is true that team Greece became much better after Euro 2004 than before but they have problem like they couldn't keep their good effort continuously. They did very well on Euro 2008 qualification and now they are quite close to WC 2010.

My attention on WC 2010 is on group 3. Hoping to see Slovakia who is upper Poland, Czech and Northern Ireland(Quite competitive group?). I was surprised that Slovakia scored the most goal in Euro 2008 qualification(But matches vs San Marino affected a lot on that. They were on the group with Germany and Czech).

3 July 1974 Poland 0 – 1 West Germany. If the referee wasn't dumb Austrian, we would win. I still can't believe that he let both teams to play in a pool. And why did FIFA let an Austrian to referee this match. That was and still is sad. Shame on FIFA and shame on you Austrian moron.

You got into politics now. Well, I won't continue, even though I have to say more about politics that things related with sport. It would be an endless debate then.

btw, I never neg people that I argue with. Just it would be fair from your side to tell where are you from and why do you hate Albanians so much.

I don't hate anyone actually, while what you did in your post is more like..prejudice. Me not saying what you want to hear doesn't mean Im right or wrong, same way it does not mean I hate albanians as you so easily and blatantly have somehow come to conclusion about me. Does It always have to do with origins and nationality? Can't it be, maybe, just maybe, that some of us have an alternative, view on.. things, and understanding, and can perceive things in a way that goes beyond being just.. petty and nationalism based prejudice?
My only wish is for people to become able to see things the way they are and finally manage to point that anger and hate towards those who really deserve it and have put you and your genetically.. similar, national brothers in a world where struggling to exist is more or less the only possibility and way to actually be.

We can continue via PM our convo man, I just hope you don't consider this an attack on you and your fellow albanians by me.
Sorry to the rest for the extreme "offtopicness"
