this patch is good but the deflections and the way the ball just bounces every which way is very, VERY annoying. the ball doesn't even seem to touch the player.. it's like there's an invisible wall around each individual player and the ball bounces a few inches away from the player when it hits them and that is VERY weird and funny to look at. and the gk doesn't kick too far.. u need to change that.

wow okay. First off, thank you so much Breamster, that is so awesome that it was uploaded so fast, all my thanks.
Second of all, guys I really am sorry that you are experiencing the physics issue, i will get down to work on it. Personally I have never seen this issue so dont think i'd release a buggy patch, i really haven't see it, but i might hae a thought on what is causing it, editing is so fun sometimes...I'll keep you guys updated, meanwhile go to www.breamster.com and download the patch!!!

hmmm.. i notices some things while playing this patch.. one thing is the deflections which is sorta weird, but i actually prefer them in front of ea:s "ball on a string" could be better though.. another thing is keepers.. i get the feeling the alwys save with their feet. which isnt really realistic. and one more, a big one..
the PENALTYS which im afriad is total disaster, at least for me...
its impossible to score a single goal also for the cpu.
cuz when u hit the ball it just flys straight up to the atmosphere
and then bounces down some meters from the net. only way to shot forward is to power up all the way.. and aim left or right, but then u off course shoot outside of the post..
very good gameplay except for these things though!

yeah, kinda sucks that you hate em tho, and realise that if u do u'll lose the realstic scorelines. But you can get rid of them by putting ur CD in and going to the cd rom drive and go to data/cmn/be and look for formdata.kpr, copy the file and paste it to ur hard drive data/cmn/be in ur fifa directory.

I suppose I could get used to it. After all, the emphasis is on realism and if these are the real formations, then so be it. One of the problems I have with the formations, however, is that the defenders stand in the box waiting for the opposition to advance. I'd much rather that they play it like the default formations.
It'll take some getting used to, but I'm willing to stick with it as I've been extremely pleased with the patch thus far.
i know what you mean. I had to really get used to teh defenders staying that far back, but thats why the cpu midfield comes back with the ball carrier, but in my op. this is a very good formation to use. beacause i dont know about neone esle, but i hate scoring all the time from crosses and that is why there is a far mid person on each flanks giving no room and when u cross the ball the defenders that r in the box already are already there to watch the fwd make his run, so basically the fw is running right at the defenders, hence there is no real advantage for teh fwd, the only time i scored was when i made Owen, who's spd was better than defender ( MLS guys...lol) and the good thing i liked abou tit was that the goalie stayed in place, and not ran off to pretend to make a save. So either way it is a delightful formation and i'm working on some updates here but i've been really busy lookin for my new computer.

Shots, passes, even short passes, all came off players. That's not all, since the ball kept coming off players kneecaps, the game ended 0-0 and a penalty shootout was played.

Fix these and this will be a great patch.

yeah, darigaaz, i have the same problems with tre instant replay and res. thing.. weird. And ive found out something, this deflection problem seems to be match connected, it depends on what teams are playing. mabey its just coinsident but i always get this bug when playing with the club chapionship teams.
this patch seems to be very different from match to match...

The bouncing off the players thing could be caused by the values in the aiprop file. Reset them to the default ones maybe. And make sure the max xz vall velocity is higher than the laminar kick speed.
Penalty kicks values are in the ai.ini file. Make the powerup rate lower and the cpu span also.
Also make sure the user min pass distance and max pass distance are not changed too much (also the lob distances). Since the problem only occurs with several teams (like Liverpool and Man. Utd stated here), check those teams individual ai-files for pass power values or bocy collision scaling values that are insane
Not much more I can think of right now. If you can't figure it out, I'll take a look at it if you want.

the resolution is because you have to delete the
RESOLUTION = 1024x768 in your soccer.ini fle, sorry forgot to delete that. Again witht he deflections, i do not a thing about this,honestsly i have never experienced this with any teams...Are you sure u installed everything correctly, any other patches that might affect gameplay? I am working dilligently on the 2nd patch, just need to change some ai values,sorry you guys are having trouble but thanks for having an open mind. This bouncing off players thing is ridiculous. I can honestly say this was one of the best patches I had used up until the bouncing thing was discovered. Now, every single game has that and it's annoying as all hell.
