How do you like FIFA08 demo?

The peoples only play one time dont see the game the keepers defend much better if the graphics only just look better because the pitch please tell what the texture have with the faces i dont now if you see but faces are in 2gf kits are much better and remember this is just a demo but i say i like a lot this fifa the gameplay changed a lot if you dont noted in more moves is because you dont know how to do it the defence is much better ok but if you are waiting for PES is new generation for pc you are wrong because is the same **** of ever e never saw that sporting lisbon runs very slowly and dont tell me that sporting dont have fast players nani was there and looked is ass was of metal because he runs nothing PES is the game that dont have a BWIN league and others leagues that are licensed because PES barely have licensed leagues and the songs of PES looks like japanese and fifa ae much better

The demo , graphics ok animation doesn't look right the players arms and legs move far to fast it looks silly. The camera sway, I am,l as I type feeling sick, the way the camera moves back and forth as the ball is passed makes me feel sick after 5mins of play. The camera will be on a player as he passes the camera will stay on that player for a second then move as the pass either goes forward or back the way and I near barffed.

The ball still has that floating ballon feel to it , shooting ? like a speeding bullet, with Henry Eto and co a couple time as I got the ball just 10yrds inside the cpu with my back to goal I turned and instead of hitting pass by mistake I hit shoot the ball went like a rocket towards goals. And that was with very very little power the bar was just starting to show.


The AI , not as bad as 07 but you still get an AI player getting up to my box and turning away and running back for 30/40yrds no pass just running with it, in 07 I used to stand off the cpu players and watch what they did, you would get one in his own half twisting and turning weaving on the spot and drag backs and such. Now this would have been fine if he had someone on him and he was trying to beat them but my nearest player would be 20+yards from him.

As I said , not that bad in 08 but there is still some of it from the cpu team.


Pressing pass shoot and all still does not feel right either with the ball feeling ballon like or even the press of the button the it does feel like your hitting the shot pass or whatever.


I did the heel flick over my own head but don't know how I was flicking the stick through 360 don't know if I was holding shoulder buttons down?


From this demo for me it doesn't feel much different from 07, is it the PC version is not this Next Gen ? it should be PC have more power than a 360 or a PS3 if it is then I will wait and give it another try on a 360 or PS3 before judgeing EA but for now with the PC the demo would not make me want to rush out and buy it..

My Review of the Demo:

Haven't played much, but from what I can tell it's a bit of an improvement over 07.

Passing is better and feels much sharper. I like how much harder the passes are, better than PES in that respect. Not quite sure how the manual passing is supposed to work, maybe I'm doing something wrong?

Also not sure about the defensive controls, the right stick man changing is useless as it's hard to be precise, I just stick to the right trigger for change man and use pressure and 2nd man pressure. Couldn't figure out how to control my keeper with the right stick on breakaway's and free kicks, if someone will enlighten me on that issue it'd be great =)

Graphics are so so, a bit sharper textures maybe, and I like the new winter setting with the snow faintly falling, it's a nice touch.

Don't know what's going on with the shooting. Every shot seems to use the same animation, and it's like an outside of the foot shot with unbelievable power on it, doesn't look realistic at all. I haven't scored yet on amateur, and I'm used to trouncing the AI on Legendary. Every shot either goes wide or is fingertip saved by the keeper.

There's a few new sounds but nothing really noteworthy aside from some nice trumpet effects and some specialised player commentary ('Rooney won't be happy with that one' ; 'Ronaldo under pressure from the defense here').

Overall, a bit of an improvement over 07, aside from the shooting which is different, but not better or worse. Doesn't really seem worth buying if you have 07. I might pick it up for $20 but I certainly won't be paying full price. PES is still the benchmark for PC football gaming, and it looks like it'll stay that way in 08. Bring on PES 2008 and next-gen Fifa 09.

When i saw how the players move in fifa06/07/08 (pc version) , i just press alt+f4 coz the players look like Extra-Terrestrial,especially the moves.

Do not confuse Fifa PC, PS2 version with the 360 & PS3 version. The 360, PS3 version sh!t all over any PES 2008 version and that will be obvious soon. PES 2008 looks and plays like PES3! Fifa 2008 = great grfx, presentation, audio, much much improved gameplay, online superiority especially the 5 vs. 5 online where you control 1 player and the Be a Pro Mode. PES fanboys, keep enjoying your rehashed PES3 versions. Konami is happy to have fans like you since that means they don't have to work hard to improve. Come to think of it, it's a good idea on their part! Whay work hard when they have people that are happy w/ the same game every year for 5 years? Next Gen rules!

U are wrong MY FRIEND! Those games u talk about can run on very cheap machines and on very expensive machines because u can set it in video settings. They are OPTIMISED for PC!! In Half Life u can turn off advanced features, hdr, aa, af, reflections and play it on cheap celeron with 6200 graphics card. But FIFA doesnt let u OPTIMISE video settings. Only 2 or thinks: resolution and textures, blah blah blah. For God's sake its only 22 players and a stadium. Take look at nba 08 graphics.
I play ES4 Oblivion at highest possible settings on widescreen with millions of polygons arround, and my brother plays it on a sucky pc after setting it for that pc. So FIFA never gives u a chance to make it look good.

Taking nokia n73. Playing mobile soccer. WOo Hoo its sooo much better that last year's. Great advancement in mobile gaming. Wooooo!!!!

I was looking to purchase FIFA 2007 360 over pes this season, but after wasting 470mb on the pc demo, i can't see there being a vast improvement on the next gen consoles, talk about EA ripping off it's loyal fan base with half baked PC version, the thing should be sold as a season add on, not a full priced rip off for what is basically a patch
