How could you support more then two teams?

Victorious

Reserve Team
I glance around the forums and cant help noticing that under some peoples sigs, they've got 'my teams'. Then they state 5 teams in which they follow, all of them big guns and some are even in the same league. What do you get from doing this?

I started following Leeds about two years ago, and to my luck they were champions league contenders and owned half the bloody england team. Two years on, Leeds are struggling at midtable in the football championship, have sold ALL there players and have started from scratch. Might I add that Leeds have had 5 managers since I started supporting them...

My point is, that I am a proud fan and if a random asks me who I follow, I will happily say Leeds United.

So if you support 5 teams, what satisfaction do you get when one of them wins a cup, or qualifies for europe or something? Nothing. Everytime Leeds win a game now I treat it as if we just won the FA Cup, which is not a bad thing IMO. If you support more teams, you expect at least one of them to do well, therefore, it defeats the purpose of following a team because you are expecting them to succeed.

People who support two or more clubs shouldnt be considered as supporters.

Ive supported man u my whole life and my brother has hated me for that, because he supports chelsea. He has told me alot about them and showed me videos and I respect chelsea and like to see them do good but I wouldnt classify me as a supporter of them. So only 1 team for me

and I think a reason for multiple team supporting is the person follows 1 player on a team, and then likes the team they play for, but once their fav player gets sold to diff team, they start supporting that team as well as the other.

True.

I'm a Red Devil till I die, but I don't mind sitting and watching some good football from other teams, and also cheering for them (when they not playing against Manchester United).(H)

I agree... I honestly don't see how someone can support a big gun team from each league... it takes all the fun out of supporting a team :|

I support Milan and Man City... the two are very unlikely to meet in European competition (YET!) and aren't bitter rivals or anything :p

well I don't really think there's anything wrong with supporting more than 1 team so long as they're from different countries. what I do have a problem with is those people whose supported clubs list reads like follows: Roma, Juve, Milan, Man U, Arsenal, Barca, Real Madrid, Valencia, Boca Juniors, River Plate, Liverpool, Monaco, Marseille, Celtic and their favorite national teams are Brazil, Italy, Netherlands and Spain:| :| :| these are the idiots who need to get a clue

Also, the ones who switch clubs every season are just the same and probably even worse than those who support multiple clubs.

I support Barcelona and Cruz Azul (Mexico), but I do have interest in other teams. I'm not a fanatic of both, I don't follow soccer as I used to, but I love seeing those teams play when I get the chance.

I support Chelsea and I will support the Melbourne Victory when they start the A-League here, so quite easily tbh.

Then there are teams I like to see win in other leagues and teams I hate.

I support Arsenal but I cheer Villa and Boro on quite a lot. I don't believe in neutrals. Everytime you watch a football match, there'll be one team you want to win or lose.

I support Liverpool as I was born there, although I moved away at a young age to Staffordshire, but I kept my roots.

I support AS Monaco and OCG Nice here in France as OCG Nice is 10 mins away (local team) and Monaco are about 30-40 mins away. I played for the Monaco youth team, and have season tickets to both clubs. Cheap footy down here (H)
