davegahan .. I haven't got the game but don't be too worried, if you can't cross with anyone apart from the strikers then EA's done a really bad job this year. Last year with Fifa 2004 you could cross with whoever so I'm guessing it'll the same this year. It's Thursday night at the moment here in Melbourne, Australia where I live and Fifa has been released for PC, XBox and Game Cube however I own a Playstation 2 and Fifa 2005 for my console is coming out Sunday. I still have a couple of days to go before I got the game and begin my own career.

Middlesborough fans, I just thought I'd let you know that your kits this year are sponsor free (seems someone was offended by 888.com).
I've seen in past FIFA's that brewing concerns and now online casinos have been taken off the kits. As if the kids that follow European football don't see those jerseys week in, week out.
If anything, you're only drawing attention to them (eg. 2004 "hey, why'd they take Betfair off the Fulham shirt?!").
If it's good enough for football's governing bodies, it's good enough for console manufacturers and game developers.
End rant.

Believe me I want to manage Liverpool aswell but what I'll do is I'll try explore, try get out and about and manage all sorts of teams if given the opportunity. I'm not one to play friendlies or Tournaments unless it's to unlock something, which means I'm usually stuck with the one team .. the only way i'll end up playing with other teams is if I get offered contracts by them in my career which I'm sure I will in my 15 years. I can't wait until it comes out. 3 more sleeps until it's out

You can't. You have to use a database editor for that. You can get one at FIFA ECP.

Game Play is a lot better in this version, too many free kicks awarded to myself but I was playing against celtic the hacking ****s. Free kick system is still the same system but it works well but they've sort of changed the corner kick one and it's not as good. In FIFA 2004 you could shoot from anywhere and score but not this time more difficult but for the better.
The kits expecially for the Old FIrm are RUBBISH...Looks like they made them in MS PAINT, not only are the Rangers kits missing the 5 stars over the badge the numbers on the back look really ****....

I think the game is great! The best fifa so far! They have really made the career mode better this year...it's more in depth. You can choose tactics and stuff.
And the weather effects are very good...when it's raining, your players actually loses balance sometimes, it's really cool!

I got FIFA 05 yesterday, and I'm probably going to take it back. They've redued the sensitivity from the demo, so it doesn't feel as natural. It's hard to describe, but you'll notice it when you get it. It's better than 04, but not as good as the demo.
The interface is crazy. Totally ridiculous.
They have got Noowich City's kit wrong! They are now an English Premiership side, so no excuse. Best bit it, the kit hasn't changed since last year, and it was right in FIFA 04!!! How stupid is that (when I say it's wrong, they've got the shorts yellow instead of green, so a big mistake). It's insulting!
You can only with a lower league side in Career mode, why is just ****e IMO. I want to play with Norwich, not Boston United. if I wanted to do a season with say a Spanish side too, I don't want to have to play in the lower Spanish leagues, but I have to!
Everything is done in 'points'. No money in the transfers now. Also no training mode.
Still no International tournaments.
You now can't choose your stadium in a Friendly match. I used to like playing in the best European stadiums wih normal teams, but i can't now.
The gfx are worse than the demo too.
There's still massive holes in the defence (although they've got rid of the gap btn defence and midfield), probably because the pitch seems even BIGGER than in previous FIFA versions. Don't EA know what a pitch looks like?!
Finally, the creation centre is pretty ****e too because you can't change existing players, you have to make one from scatch, and you can't edit kits in it (which would have been a good idea as they've got many of them wrong!)
So just be advised.

yeah theres is a training mode....anyways...i would like to point out that there are too many ppl bitchin about the game..... YES ITS ONLY A GAME!!!
if you dont like, dont play it and dont post ur negative experiences with the game....there are ppl that enjoy the game, everyones prefrence is diff. if you wish to get it off ur chest, write it down in a diary or somethin....
