so are there any individual moves for certain players? what moves are there?
and are there more animations for shooting and dribbling and stuff than the demo?

I've only played games with my Torino (Italian Serie B) team as of yet, and I don't think I'll be trying out any other teams in the near future. I'm not terribly good at pulling off moves (I could never do that over the head bit in the movie found on this forum), I usually stick to runs along the side and the occasional sidestep. :)

I never played the demo, so I really couldn't comment on that.

edit: You're welcome ;)

Match Wrapup (Or: Heskey, Match #1) -

As rain fell on the pitch in Modena, Serie B leaders Torino debuted their newest player to an awe-struck crowd. Just hours earlier, the announcement was made that Liverpool agreed on a transfer of striker Emile Heskey to the Torino squad for just over 26,000$. While Liverpool made no statement as to their decision, Heskey did his talking on the field of play. Clearly the focus of the attack, Heskey had the ball frequently early on. However, his speed and ability with the ball was somewhat hampered by the soggy pitch, and the 2-3 Modeno players that blanketed him a t all times. It didn't take long for Heskey to make an impact though. In the 32nd minute, Heskey charged up the left side of the field and put a strong shot on goalie Giorgio Frezzolini. Frezzolini couldn't handle the wet ball, and it bounced right back out to fellow striker Akeem Omolade for the first goal of the match. As Heskey celebrated with his new teammates, he couldn't have expected what was to come next. Just two minutes later, in the 34th minute, Omolade now found himself free on the side, and sent a gentle cross through the box for a wide-open Emile Heskey header...making it 2-0! The scoring subsided until the 84th minute, off a corner by Heskey, the ball was punched out by the keeper, and soon kicked right back in by midfielder Filippo Maniero to make it 3-0. That was the final, 3-0, as Torino goes back home with another victory under their belt. This is just the beginning for an hopeful club, still atop Serie B by a large 6-point margin over Catanzaro after 20 games played.

Did Modena give you a good fight? Sounds like the didn't do too much on attack. That was the problem with 2004. I would think these clubs should be pretty even.

They did until that first goal, they had a few scoring chances early on, but that was about it. I was probably just playing over my head, thinking Heskey could plow through 2 or 3 defenders straight toward the goal since he was rated so much higher.

Modena is currently ranked 18th in Serie B, 4-11-10 after 25 (15gf, 29ga). I'm 18-3-3, and considering moving up to the next difficulty level. If I wasn't facing promotion (and much harder competition right off the start) soon, I would've already moved it up.

Thanks for the link, I'll soon be doing a class report on Serie A/Italian soccer in general, and this'll be a great help. :)

Thanks for the quick answer. I cant wait to get the game.

Ya I started on semi pro had to move up to pro after a week and then world class after about a month of the game last year.

How many teams are in Serie A and Serie B? Last year Serie B was missing a few teams.

When I go into 'Tournament', I am given a selection of the different country/cup tournaments, i.e. Spain's Spanish Primera, Segunda, or Copa del Rey....Italy's Serie A, Serie B, and Coppa Nazionale...

I select Brazil's "Brazilian Cup"

Now I see the list of Brazilian League teams, and I have the option of "Add/Replace Team", pressing Y allows me to switch one of the Brazilian teams with a team from anywhere. I don't see how to 'add' a team without losing one though, maybe the tourney is full.

Going on from here I see a list of fictures for the day, the option to Play Next Match, and 'Stats Central'. Stats Central, naturally, gives me stats, as well as a list of the "Knockout Fixtures". I assume this means it's a single-elimination tournament. However, there is no tourney bracket present to view.

That's about all I can see worth mentioning.

Hope that helps!

well they dont usually have brackets when there is a draw after every round, but in FIFA 2004 i could easily guess who was playing who in the next round much of the time. Sometimes it was the winner of the first two quarterfinals would play each other. In the round of 32 i noticed it woudl be the winner of the first match player against the ninth match played.

Can anyone post the full list of cups/leagues in the tournament mode? Thanx :p

I'm still playing on semi-pro as well. The Serie B teams aren't too tough to play against, but the 3rd leg of Coppa Nazionale did me in this season. I had beat a Serie B team (the team escapes me, perhaps Ascoli, not sure) and Siena (I won 2-0 in game 1, and lost 2-1 in game 2 for an aggregate 3-2 victory) the first two matchups, but I ran into Lazio on the third! Keep in mind, this is before I even had Heskey, so it was hardly a fair fight. The first match took place on Lazio's home turf, and hearing the booming chants for them was a bit disconcerting to be honest! I think I may have gotten in 3 shots all game, and they poured on the attack. Incredibly, despite their 10+ shots, I was hanging onto a 0-0 draw until just past the 90th minute, in extra time..they knocked one in to take it 1-0 (this is about when I wanted to put my controller through the tv). It was very disappointing to say the least, but I was still proud of the team for holding out so long. I wasn't expecting a miracle as we return to Turin, but I nearly got one. Omolade scored in the first 20 minutes to make it 1-0, and tie it up 1-1 aggregate. After that, I actually had around 3 heart-breaking chances, off the crossbar or post, one just veering off past an open net. I knew it would come back to bite me eventually, and Lazio scored 2 goals close together in the second half of that match, ultimately going on to win it 3-2, and 4-2 aggregate. It's funny looking over the Serie A teams, trying to find some I think I could beat. It's not a promising endeavor. ;) My main goal is to make it to Serie A and not get sent right back to Serie B the next season.

That had to be a typo, right?

Two questions: First, PLEASE tell me if Henrik Pedersen made the Danish national team. If he didn't, is it possible to edit the lineups of the National teams?

I would also be very grateful if someone could post the team ratings for Denmark, as well as the overall rating for the players. It's be great if you could do the five subs too. From the demo it looks like the finally made Tomasson not sh*t, but I'm also hoping Grønkjær is better than a 65 and that Rommedahl has like 105 speed.

I figured your Real Madrid comment was in jest, but I double-checked anyway ;) Yes, they are indeed listed as 87def.

Sorry mate, I don't see a Pedersen anywhere on the national team...

He's a 75ovr for Bolton by the way, starting opposite K. Davies(74ovr).

As far as editing the international teams, I don't see of any way to do it from within the game itself, sorry. 'Squad Management' just gives you the ability to move players between different clubs.

Thanks so much my good man. Dammit, wouldn't you know Pedersen gets his call-up right after the rosters are made. And you've got to be kidding me that you still can't make change the national teams. But they made Denmark really really good, my line-up is going to own so hard:

------------------------- Sørensen 82 ----------------------

Helveg 79 - Laursen 83 - Kroldup 69 - N. Jensen 78

---------- Gravesen 85 ------- C. Jensen 79 ------------

--- Rommedahl 85 -- Tomasson 87 -- Grønkjær 83 --

-------------------------- Madsen 79 -----------------------

Subs:
Andersen 72
Poulsen 77
Løvenkrands 82
D. Jensen 73
Jørgensen 80

Now watch this drive!

Another question: are you able to select your free kick taker at the time of of the free kick? Are you able to select your penalty taker at the time of the penalty? Are you able to choose your penalty shoot-out lineup as you could in 2003?

You're not allowed to select your free kick taker, penalty taker, corner takers, etc at the TIME OF the kick, however you can pause the game and go into your tactics to change it there. I would assume, if you're quick enough with pausing the game, you might be able to pause it and change your man before the kick situation occurs.

I see no place to select a penalty shoot-out lineup, and I haven't encountered that as of yet.

I'm not exactly sure what you mean by "before a game". If you go to options-->tactics, you can set your captain (as well as your kick takers) there with no problems. Then simply confirm, and hit 'play next game'. Maybe I'm confusing what you mean by 'before a game'?

I'm not in Serie A quite yet, and I assume I need to be there to hear anything about it, since I saw no mention of it through March in Serie B.
