I dont know why u still saying that the most fair Final would be guadalupe - Canada.

Mexico deserved to win the match and didnt had any help form the referree, so at least is fair to say that Mexico is in the final, dont know about th US i didnt watched the game

I gotta admit, we did not deserve the final. Hands down to the canucs. They are a far better team than they used to be. Also do not agree with those who call Donovan a diver. C'mon that was merely a dive.

O and about Bocanegra? What was he thinking? :wootman:

And because CONCACAF doesn't want to get embarrassed in the Confederations Cup. Tough call for Canada. At least Michael Bradley won't be playing the Final.

Both the US and Mexico deserve to be in the final. USA played better than Canada and Mexico played better than Guadeloupe, and that's why they won their games. People hate to see CONCACAF dominated by the US and Mexico, but those are the two best teams in the region and it's no coincidence that they will meet in the final.

Deserving or not, that call was terrible and Canada and USA should have at least gone to extra time. Which one would have won was obviously not determined, but that was just brutal....

I have no doubt that US and Mexico are the best two squads in CONCACAF, but Canada has had our share of brutal refereeing go against us in the past few years. Still, had we not given up those early goals, we would not have been in that position, I know. Still, this tournament leaves me with a sour taste in my mouth despite my satisfaction with Canada's performance.

Fantastic play by these two youngsters.

No Blanco and no Bautista, who are by far our two most technical players.
Maybe something for the end of the second half?

That was by far the worst half of play I have seen the US play since Bradley took over (exclude the Guatemala matches...). We can't put two passes together unless they are in our own half or between the defenders and Howard. It seems like all of our chances have come from randomness and a lack of organized midfield play. Donovan is not showing the poise to go recover balls for himself. He has to realize that his teammates won't be able to find him as easily as in the other games since there's always 3 Mexicans on his back. The few times he's had the ball he's been dangerous but he needs to see more of it if we're gonna tie it up in the second half. Beasley has been terrible, his touch is nowhere to be seen and his passes leave a lot to be desired. I'm also dissapointed with Onyewu and have been this entire tournament. He isn't the player he was in WC qualifying anymore (:/). He seems a lot slower and his placement is almost always wrong.

This is truly the first test for Bob Bradley. I'm curious to see what adjustments he will make at the half. Bringing in Johnson for Ching would be a start since Ching was the most worthless player on the field the entire first half. I don't even know why Bob started him

What a blast. Has to be the best goal of the tournament by far. A little later Ching had the chance to close the game but hit the bar. Hopefully we will be able to hold another 10 mins.

Great game today by Mexico. I was definitely impressed by you guys, especially Guardado and Castillo. It just seemed the bounces went our way today (except for the two worst finishes in the history of mankind by Beasley and Ching).

Ching did a lot better than I thought, Beasley has improved quite a bit with Man City, Gooch is Gooch, and I would definitely like to see more of Simek. Congrats to Donovan for tying Wynalda.

Where the hell is Eddie Johnson? Honestly. Why is Deuce playing ahead of him at striker? Why is Twellman considered better? He certainly has never proved it in MLS where Johnson reigns supreme.

Great game. It sucks to have lost this way, but I'm not even disappointed. Mexico was beaten by an unstoppable goal. There were questionable calls, but overall it was a great game. Both teams player well, and the tension was there throughout the whole game. A real classic.

That being said, I do think Hugo is a horrible coach. Putting Blanco and Bofo with 10 minutes left was way too late. For the life of me I can't comprehend why Jimmy Lozano plays over Cuah or Bofo. He's been utterly useless every time I have seen him play. They should have been put in as soon as US drew.

The positives is that Nery and Guardado were on fire. It's promising. And maybe if they play like this during Copa America, it won't be as bad as I expected. Oh, and what a save by Howard nears the end. I was sure that was the equalizer.

Just looked through his Wikipedia page, and you guys dodged a bullet with Castillo. Looks like he was close to playing for Greece!
