Klose voted German Player of Year by peers

German international forward Miroslav Klose has been voted German Player of the Year by his fellow professionals.

Werder Bremen striker Klose polled 64 percent of the votes way ahead of German international captain Michael Ballack who collected 4.5 percent.

Bremen midfielder Tim Borowski was third with 3.2 percent.

The 28-year-old Klose top scored in the Bundesliga last season with 25 goals and then won the World Cup golden boot after scoring five goals at the finals.

Leverkusen 1-2 Hamburg

What's more suprising, Hamburg winning the first time this season or Guerrero scoring twice?

Van der Vaart's presence is huge for them.

So Van der Vaart comes back for his first game and they win right away against a decent team? Great, just great! Especially when we have to play them soon.

I guess he's still a super sub.

After this sorry ass result, Bert van Marvjik's job is in balance. Anything less than a decisive win again Nurnberg next Saturday hopefully will be the end of his time at dortmund. He is great at developing youngsters, but his leadership is in question. The team constantly underperforms and eventually that responsibily falls on the coach. Dortmund needs an asshole to lead the team on the pitch, but those are hard to find.

I read Bielefeld's coach von Heesen is the favoruite to replace BvM. Von Heesen is young, inexperienced and known for being too soft with his players.

Wanna swap coaches?

Whaaaaaaaaa?

If we have to let Felix go it has to be for a better coach than he is not athat sorry@ss dutchman.

The referee stopped the DFB-Pokal match between Stuttgarter Kickers and Hertha BSC at the 86. minute, after some fans threw stuff at one of the linesmen who got injured, because of this. Berlin is in the next round with a 2:0 win at Stuttgart.

Mainz 1-6 Werder Bremen

14' [0 - 1] M. Klose
19' [0 - 2] A. Hunt
20' [0 - 3] M. Klose
73' [1 - 3] M. Azaouagh
74' [1 - 4] A. Hunt
79' [1 - 5] Naldo
89' [1 - 6] Diego

Werder could have won by double digits. Hunt should be called up to the nt.

That's a goal differential of 18-2 in their last 4 games.

I hope they keep up this form until they play Chelsea... I'd love to see them beat Ballack and his crew.
