Free Kicks..........................

just wondered how far you guys have scored free kicks from? btw i aint like that guy off that other forum, i'm not obsessed with spectacular free kicks, just wanna c how far you guys have scored from

for me, i have scored a free kick with Eusabio from 34m, that is a good free kick with the goalie having no real chance

i have also scored a Baraja free kick from about 50m, this is sh!t though, it was a lobbed free kick from near the half way line, my striker went for it, so did their goalie and defender, everyone missed it and it went in lol

I still haven't managed to actually score from a free-kick. The nearest I've come to scoring is when I hit the crossbar. That was on difficulty level four.

Is there something that tells you how many meters you are away from goal?

It should be above the taker before every free kick

ML, normal level. I scored a free kick with Chilavert in my first season (one of only 4 goals my team scored that season). I had quite a bit of luck though. The ball hit the bottom of the crossbar and bounced in. The keeper just kind of stood there and watched it go in. I guess he thought it was going over the goal or something. I've never been able to score on a free kick since.

For some reason or the other, i don't get much out of set plays, i much prefer to play a short pass or a ball that drops short or wide of the defence to any player who has some free grass around him and then from that given situation i try to work the play into a chance or half chance hit on the goal. Probably b'cos most of the free kicks i send in there usually end up missing the target.

I have that too. I did get lucky on that one kick with Chilavert when I hit the crossbar but have never managed to come close since then. I too will usually try to lob it into the box or pass it short.
