And then it seemed like his central 3 midfielders were playing as classic 4-3-3 mids, 1 holding mid and 2 more box-to-box types, which is pretty rare these days unless you're Barcelona.

I had the impression Domenesch wanted to play Barcelona. He even put right footed Ribery on the left and left footed Malouda on the right. Total failure from his part.

I thought it was strange that at the very least Gourcuff wasn't really playing as a #10 or trequartista. Just a total cock up tactically by Domenech, but that's nothing new.
