Final Premiership Qualifier?

I feel sorry for Preston, they qualify for the Play-Offs almost every time and lose it every time. Well then i'll support the team vs Sheffield Utd.

To be fair Sheffield dominated the second leg it was only Preston's good defending that kept them out for the 50+ minutes.

Greg Halford was definite MotM for me followed just by Cotterill.

Just hoping Burnley can get another Lancashire team in the prem now, would have been nice to have had a Lancs. derby at Wembley.

Which is Burnley! Burnley today defeated play-off favourites Reading 2-0 to win the tie 3-0 and advance to the final to play Sheffield United. The Poll closes today, so if you picked Reading or Preston (as I did), tough luck! Well done Burnley.

I have supported Burnley from the beginning and I do hope they make it through to the Premier league.

Burnley are in the Premier League! Poll favourites Burnley have defeated Sheffield United 1-0 courtesy of a Wade Elliot goal in the first half. They have not been a top-flight club since 1976, but they're back!!

Incidentally, I updated my Fifa 09 database last night, with the promotions/demotions in England. I had already put Burnley in the Prem, just waiting on confirmation from the actual game! :)

8/20 North west teams in the Premier League, not far at all to go for me if I want to watch a match next season :D

Here's hoping for Blackpool and Preston promoted next season and it'll be pretty much a clean sweep.

The only thing wrong with it is that because there are so many teams the smaller of the bunch don't get as many fans because they're more attracted to old ****ford or anfield, which is a bit of a shame.

Was going to put this in the random photo thread but seemed more appropriate here

I can imagine how good it must feel to win promotion to the Premiership, but I wouldn't have expeced such a "strong" reaction from chappie on the left. It's a good thing the order of the pics was not reversed...
