well, im using unupdated version for fans patches sakes as i found out, that i generally have less problems with user made patches IF i havent patched game itself
But in any case, it seems to me, that fan made patches and official updates dont work well together+ that free kick bug was probably there in vanilla game, so.. Besides like you said yourself, problems started AFTER you updated FIFA
I really engourage you to release this patch even if you are unable to fix that issue, but like suggested before, do so with warning.

This is pretty weird. I never had such a crash, so this is the first time I read about this bug. If you say it is something that comes with the game, then maybe we just shouldn't update FIFA, and see what happens.
By the way, is there a way to remove an update after it is installed? Because that way you can see if the EA patch really is the problem.

For peoples information if you make a dupliacte of your fifa13 folder first, then run origin and patch you will always have a backup to switch too which is what I did.

I listed the files that were updated.
I have both pre update and the update so if you want I cant test before and after patch when you release it to see if I get the crash.

edit 11:45 ET-Thanks for the update jschuck. Hopefully, the test is just forcing a couple cpu dfks and then you can have it put up. Memorial Day tomorrow in the US, but obviously not Italy, so I wonder how long it will take Damien to get to it.

I think we are good folks. Tested 5 games with the new db and did nothing but foul the crap out of the pc team, got tons of yellow and red cards and got ejected many times and its obvious the bug is gone. All free kicks were fine. Before I couldn't even foul a team 1 time without an immediate ctd.

I don't know when Damien gets home. About the crash there is still a bug when you pick 3rd kick taker but I only found it on 1 of 9 teams tested. I searched the net and ea forums and free kick bugs seem to be prevalent but you can choose a different free kick taker or you can choose a 2nd player to be involved with kicks without issue. Its as good as it will get because there is nowhere I know of in the db where you can fix 3rd kick takers. Its a stupid bug and most likely 90% of people wont notice it. I do buy my FIFA and use Origin only so maybe the scrub copies have different results.

In FIFA 11: I have finished updated national team rosters for all of Asia, Africa, North America and half of Oceania. If this would help you create the rest of those regions' teams, let me know. I understand some people know how to convert FIFA 11 files to 13.
