A very common problem in LIGA MX is that several players from various teams have 0 months remaining on their contracts or even contracts with negative months when starting career mode.

Check if you do not have a settings.lua file installed in Game/data/fifarna/lua and delete it or install the LagBuster by Emran_Ahm3d, it produces a lot of delay and lag, it is the FX effects that cause this, for example fog and high lighting

I think we all know this. Getting rid of rain, snow etc. may help, but I also think that we all have had matches the game practically killed by simply not responding to input, even if there was no rain or snow.
There's an interesting old reddit thread on this very subject. Lots of interesting theories, and definitely worthwhile reading. But, long story short, it does not look like any mod or patch will be able to solve this. It looks very much like the problem is built into the game.
I now simply abort if in half time 1 it looks like it's going to be one of those crap matches where everything you do comes with a delay. Restart the game, try again. May take a few rounds, but eventually it will be OK again.

Thanks! I'll keep playing even with some annoying lags. I have also installed the full and independent ModdingWay mod from 2014/15 and I don't see any problems with lag. I think some HD textures also leave the game with some lag.
