hi Tokke, am i please doing something wrong? Trying to convert head model from FIFA16 to 14.

When i use function Models:
- for Convert i got the head model somehow distorted, i.e. nose and chin are elongated, but placement is correct
- for Move / Scale i got the correct head model structure, however head is misplaced now (not sure how this works actuallz, in help.txt is written this should be for manual moving/scaling)

For converting textures i didnt spotted any issues.

- At tab "convert" :
If u select the option "move/scale" : it will automaticly move the head to the right position
-> U say the placement is oke, but some things are distorted?

This is for manually positioning the head,
It shouldnt be done if u already did (automaticly) at converting


If it is what i think u mean:
Converting to/from fifa 15/16 isnt indeed perfect
I v found some deformations myself,
Wich will be hard to fix
Like u describe :
*16 > 14 : deformations at chin/nose
* 14>16 : back-neck / kit clashing

So you don't have any issues with the head model? Cause so far converting Fifa 14 heads to Fifa 16 leads to such results. I already tested if there's something wrong with the face file, but without the converted head model it looks fine and there aren't those artifacts :/

Yeah, man. The game crashes. I'm still converting the old-fashioned way. This is what I get when I try to convert Denayer from 14 to 16.

FIFA 16 has the largest amount of custom faces made and it would be incredibly useful to finally be able to use them in FIFA 14 as well.

Other than that, I've tried converting some FIFA 11 exclusive model balls and finally for the first time ever we have the same model in FIFA 14, which is huge!

FIFA 16 has the largest amount of custom faces made and it would be incredibly useful to finally be able to use them in FIFA 14 as well.

Let the next update be all about that, so long as it works less randomly.

This BoneIndex Error I just get from some of Dmitri's heads like Rafinha (168607) or Luispb's Kudus (245155), but those are also faces I couldn't convert via the usual way (Blender -> FaceMaster -> CM16) cause importing them with FaceMaster leads to an error message :( The same happens with Wooten (208374) but for some reason Fifa Converter can work with the head model unfortunately with the same result like on my screenshot. I guess there's currently no option to get those faces into the game :(
Anyway... awesome work tokke and hats off to you ;)

Did you check textures? does the conversion you made have light and bump maps. I think that the problem you have.

That's what I thought too, but when I remove the converted head model and Fifa loads the generic head assigned to the player instead the face textures are fine. I also tested Faces that I converted weeks ago with a new head model converted via Fifa Converter and the same issues appear. So it must be the head that causes those artifacts.

I'm just testing and reporting what's happening in the Fifa 16 sector in regards to the tool. That's all :D I'm not forcing him to work on updates, fixes or so.

I tried using this tool to edit Wipe3d for fifa14. (Export and import images, textures). Unfortunately I failed. The game crashes. Before the conversion he gives me a notice regarding the animations. I don't know if due to my still poor knowledge of the tool or due to the limitations of the program. I was wondering if it was possible to implement Wipe3d editing (just changing textures would be great). I believe this program has what it takes to supplant the FIFA files Explorer and beyond. Heartfelt congratulations!

the thing with my tool (or my rx3 dll) is that it reads all sections , then write all sections :
not just overwrite edited parts in a file
-> because sections sizes changes, and moves (if you for example add larger textures then the original)

what i mean :
not all sections have been added (to my rx3-reading/writing.dll), but those were rare to find :)
-> after writing the file, the section "scene_animation" will be missing in the file, causing ingame crashes...
but in future release i can fix this ...

rx3 Files with these sections, arent supported yet by my tool :
* EDGE_MESH (ex. found at FO3 : body\arms.rx3, FIFA 19ps3 - shoes/... )
* SCENE_ANIMATION (ex. found at stadiums, Wipe3d)
* MORPH_INDEXED (used in *_morphtargets files)
* COLLISION (stadiums ?)
* CLOTH_DEF (?)
* BONE_NAME (may not exist)
->all other sections, described by Dmitri' thread have been added

FIFA 14 : 4 bones/vertex
FIFA 15/16 : 8 bones/vertex

if u convert from fifa 15/16 to 14 u need find a solution for those 4 extra :
i now just ignore/remove them, but maybe these are the reason for the deformations...

I was successful in converting Fifa 16 faces to Fifa 14 . But converting faces created by @Lagwagon93 I am getting this result in blender. Would you please help me.
I tried it on two players created by @Lagwagon93 , But same result.

I wouldn't have had a problem with that, but I didn't see any dependencies. Some faces convert, others convert but with errors (as in the case of Badelj), and others, according to the converter, convert but crash the game.
