Fifa 2006 CEP - Career Expansion Patch

You mentioned that due to the CPU having to do transfers when players retire, the game can freeze more frequently after 3/4 years.
My question is: Does this mean the chance of freezing even occurs when YOUR players retire (as the CPU probably "creates" a new player every time another one retires)? Or doesn't it matter as long as your squad is big enough?
I'd like to know, as if even your own retiring players influence the freezing, I'll have to sell some 30+ year old players from my squad before they retire.

Ockham, could you please answer my question, as I'm contemplating if I have to sell my 30+ players or not to avoid crahseh/freezes if they'll retire?

This is not relevant: the problem is with CPU teams that don't have enough players (less than 16).

well all the clubs in the game should have at least 18 outfield players and 1 keeper (but should have 2 really), not all the clubs in the game have that though

I still have a question about the language portion. Here in the States, you can choose between English and Spanish (Mexico) commentaries. When I install CEP and start the game, I get the language options of French, German, Italian, Dutch and English but neither Spanish language options (Mexican or Spanish). Do you have any ideas on what may cause that? Thanks for any answers or ideas!

Yes, this was given by a wrong setting inside config.dat: this has been already fixed cause you can find the fixed config.dat on CEP homesite and of course 0.11 will include this fix too.

Great idea, if you could find a way to add some kind of player creator i wouldn't need to download anything else. What was Fifa thinking adding a player creator that lets you add 8 players!!!! DUH!!!

Hey OckHAM!

I forgot to tell ya. I was playing a career and was looking at the transfer market for a player from the Ivory Coast that was missing the flag or logo of their national football association. I wish I knew if it was just that player (since he wasn't on any other team, just Iv. Cst.) but it was the only one that I noticed. I'll look at it more tonight when I get home from work.

Please to all CEP usrs: segnalate missing/bugged kits, because I'm packing 0.11 material and I'd like to resolve all these problems that need only few seconds.

What does the internet netiquette(redundant btw) say about dissing people complementing you. All i was saying was that if you had some player creator i wouldnt even need the CC as an editing tool. No offense but i've reading this thread long enough to see you tend to threat people with a very condescending tone you might wanna bring down a notch or two. Youre great at what you do but you still just messing with already created files in game. Just my two cents

On the other front i don't know if you have anyone to update the rosters for the Spanish second division, mexican or argentinian league. If you don't i'd like to help out

One question, is each version a separate one from the other previouly downloaded or are they just fixes? My connection is working terribly and it took me almost an hour to download the .10 version

Ok sorry to have been rude man, just keep using the editing tool that I think is better (consideration on better player editor was not related to CEP discussion anyway).

Would be very useful an updater for Spain and especially for Argentina, so if you are interested please go on CEP homesite and look in "Join CEP" section to check what genre of updates are needed. Contact me on [email protected] if you need further informations.

Each version of CEP is separated, sorry: you'll have to redownload entirely it. 0.11 will bring a lot of new settings and fixing, along with tons of new teams and tournaments. Download should be about 100mb. I'm taking accords, anyway, with many computer magazines that want to include the CEP in their CDs and DVDs.

Some news on 0.11 pubblication:

Things done:

- in-stadium flags for all argentina and bolivia teams
- new adboards for custom teams
- found an argentinian updaters: 0.11 will feature proper argentinian teams (along with updated transfers)
- same as above with Chile
- created full Champions League with summer preliminary stages (starting at the end of July), available in career
- created full UEFA cup with summer preliminary stages and original groups structure
- created Scandinavian Royal League, available in career
- added Greek league
- created Mexican Interliga (Copa Libertadores qualification)
- added many new kits for teams added to CEP: Colombia, Bolivia, Argentina, Venezuela: new southamerican editors are joining the CEP
- fixed the graphics of new sponsors
- lowered the valours of chilean teams players
- added new nationals: Iceland, Cyprus
- 38 (yea, thirty-eight) new Rest of Europe teams
- fixed tons of bugs
- improved the performance on career transfermarket (much more low percentual of freeze)

Things to do for the 0.11:

- adapation of Fifapolonia superpatch (updates and graphic elements)
- African Nation Cup (waiting for Mohameed Talaat work)
- in-stadium flags for all colombia and rest of south america teams
- redo Italy national cup
- fix argentinian valours and appearances
- update teams with transfers of january (collaboration of the updaters)
- fix economic values of sponsors in career (some unbalanced valours present)

I decided to leave the Serbian league for next version.

Regarding the transfers freezing problems I'm studying hard the problem and I found some "solutions" that can really lower this problem: almost always, now, you'll be able to reload the last match played and the game will work fine. Anyway I still hope to find a definitive solution, and I'm taking contact with other editors and especially with game authors to understand where is the problem.

Will it be possible to download version 0.11 "over" version 0.10 or is it necessary to start "clean" and first uninstall & then install fifa06 before installing version 0.11?

It's possible to install over 0.10 of course. It's not possible/compatible with other patches as before.
