Engine means ball and player physics as well. The way the players and ball behave on the pitch under differents sircumstances.
And with this moronic insultfest you're only showing your age not the presence of decent brains.

Hey dude don't you think it's time for you to calm down a little bit. We're all here to have a good time and discuss about the game, not to fight about whose graphic card is better, or insult each other.

Is there an option to remap the controls in the demo or no?

I am one of the 'pes geeks', but.... i want to play it more because i would like to see what has 'improved'.

I am not coming here by any means saying one is better then the other, because i will give FIFA 2k5 a fair chance like WE8.

Play what gives YOU the most out of a soccer game, whichever one it is or both even.

Nice, I had something similar happen, I was angry that I didnt score a goal but I was very much enjoying the game, I could swear EA had nothing to do with this game.

I would be really impressed if that was the AI with the first touch shot.

I have very small experience on PES to make comparison, i've been playing Fifa games for as long as i can remember and just played PES a few times last year and many times 2 yrs ago (a jap version, WE actually).

Overall, i am much happier this year with the demo than i was for the past few years. The atmosphere, which is a very important element which actually gets you in a footy mood, is superb. Never saw / experienced nothing like it. I pushed my jaws back up and started playing...

I lost bad on first games, not useed to keyboard and new controls, but i enjoyed it, as the AI worked impressivly good with Shevchenko and Crespo doing stuning things in my box... then i got a yellow card and as i was home team, crowd almost blusted my speakers !

When i started to get a grip on it, the game started showing what it could do. I've done manouvres and passing never seen in previous games, Henry tiped the ball over his head to pass to him self (but failed to score then), Shevchenko (in my box) had a aheader which was bloked by a defenders head while diving... and many more to remember. And compared to older games, where goals were scored with about the same way all the time, the game play is, Yes, muuuuuuuch better.

Enough, i'll go play some more ;)

I haven't noticed any real neutral complain about it this year. Most PES players acknowledge that FIFA's improved a lot this year and is a good game. And as I expected the more people play it the better it gets. :)

The game is -unexpectedly- AWESOME...
I played Winning Eleven this summer at my friend's place, and when I came back home I played Fifa2004 and felt disgusted as ever... terrible EVERYTHING and moreover.... BORING and NOT FUN... or not as fun as winning eleven I must say....

Now Fifa'2005 is unexpectedly so real and fun to play.. I thot the first touch will be as nonsense as the stupid worthless OFF THE BALL... but WHOW... it is absolutely amazing and unless Konami has it in its games, there's a strong competition in the horizon.

The AI offesive is great.. the way they drag you to the midfeild and then suddenly their player is one-on-one with my goalkeeper.. great...

Enough said... great game... like someone said over here, you can hardly know that EA had anything to do with it :) I liked that expression.

Damn... I don't believe it... is EA actually beginning to get it??

The gameplay definitely has more randomness to it this year...

I'm impressed for now, but I'm sure within the next few weeks we'll start to find the bugs.

WE JUST GOTTA!!!!!

When I first played FIFA 2004, i thought it was unbeleivable and a whole lot better than 2003 (which it is). but then after about a week or so, i felt like breaking the game disc in half. but until i get my hands on the final version of 2005, ill still keep my distance.

Thats exactly how I felt, but now I cant get away from this damn game, every game is totally diffrent, one game I win 2-1 or 2-0 or even 1-0 next game I lost 3-1 3-0 1-0 ... just awesome!
And playing is not a hell of alot easier and funer with special moves that are SOOOO easy to make, just awesome game, finally I have a true football game to enjoy! :rockman:

Not sure about that as i didn't actually do it, but i think u must have him facing against the goal, so direct him against goal while shooting. Just guessing...

I found out it was bad after about 10 or so games. All the goals were similar and it actually was way too easy to score from outside the box. But I've played I would say at least 30 games of FIFA 2005 and it just draws me back. I have noticed some problems but only minor ones. It just needs a bit of tweaking here and there.

There are indeed so many options this year, i doubt we'll be bored of the demo untill the game is out...specially with all these expanders working so hard :D
