(About frules and animlist files)
Well, I haven´t tried to edit the files (lack of courage, I do not want to re-install the game for the hundreth time ), but it seems that frules and animdata aren´t related to gameplay. As far as I could see through notepad, animdata is similar in structure to script.bin (surely not related to gameplay), and I think that it controls the cinematics of the game (animation data, maybe). Frules and frules_c seem to be more interesting; they should control how the game imports the database values (faces, match conditons, stats, etc.). They carry some nice information; for example, that a player in his preferred position gets 10-20 bonus points in some abilities, as well as playesr defined as greed, speed kings, etc. (You can see this data by CC). You can edit how much these factors affect the game, but I am not sure about how to do this. Hope that this helps...
