(About frules and animlist files)
Well, I haven´t tried to edit the files (lack of courage, I do not want to re-install the game for the hundreth time :) ), but it seems that frules and animdata aren´t related to gameplay. As far as I could see through notepad, animdata is similar in structure to script.bin (surely not related to gameplay), and I think that it controls the cinematics of the game (animation data, maybe). Frules and frules_c seem to be more interesting; they should control how the game imports the database values (faces, match conditons, stats, etc.). They carry some nice information; for example, that a player in his preferred position gets 10-20 bonus points in some abilities, as well as playesr defined as greed, speed kings, etc. (You can see this data by CC). You can edit how much these factors affect the game, but I am not sure about how to do this. Hope that this helps...

Furyer, no idea about spldata (nothing but numbers, couldn´t understand nothing). Some numbers seem to be coordinates, but I have no idea about what they do in the game.
Probably there is a pattern at cmn/be, all of its files seem to have something to do with icons, animations, etc.; and at cmn/fe should be the database related files.

(about the patch)
Considering the restrictions and problems in making a patch that have been shown at this thread, Kashif´s patch is good. Physics are better than before, the game is harder and CPU is more intelligent (although there are not many different kinds of attack). Scorelines weren´t reduced, but this is not a problem to me (I only play 6 minutes halfs). I would make five suggestions, if they are possible to be included in the patch:
1. Free kicks could be easier. Altough I never was a good FK taker, I could not score a single goal in practice after 40+ tries with Henry (some of them were almost perfect).
2. Corner kicks could be a bit harder, with stronger marking. I was able to score more than 20 goals in a season using the same set piece in professional mode : driven, A, dribble the defender, header, goal. (world class does not change it all that much)
3. Outside the box shooting is unrealistic, it should be made harder.
4. On the other hand, dribbling and through passes could be a bit easier (to infiltrate the defense).
5. It may be impossible to fully accomplish this; but instead of making the game harder by giving very high precision to CPU (sometimes annoying and unrealistic), the computer could have an high level of variation in gameplay with a little less precision.

Hey guys... Sorry i wasn't able to answer you guys for a long time but as i told you i had an exam so i was busy with it... I'm free now and am thinking of getting to work on the next patch. NO RELEASE DATES YET coz i haven't even started work but just keep updated here... For the guys who can't get the patch it's really difficult for me to send you the patch coz i have this problem with attachments; they don't seem to attach properly. so anynews from the files that were mentioned above? they are usefull or waht ? and there is any nes on your patch?

BTW I think you should fix this... when players have a month playing they have a lot of injures Im talking abnout 4 in a single game it cold be 7 -10 if you count both teams. Thats unrealistic please fix it.
