Some of my younger players aged 18-21 are growing far too quickly. When January came around, some had grown 6-7 points overall already. And for someone like Suso who starts at 74 (but does have a potential of 89) that's a little crazy, since it seems like he would reach his potential after around a season and a half-ish aged around 21. It seems some younger players are randomly shooting up, without even playing a game. (Some players such as Morgan had also shot up, even though I hadn't played them once). Other players however, such as Jordan Ibe (62 overall 75 potential) hadn't grown at all. Although he had not played any games, but other players (Morgan) had grown considerably, when he also had not played.

Also, Sturridge who up until January has only gotten 6 goals and 3 assists, has already reached his potential of 85 also. If he had been top goal scorer with a lot of goals or whatever I could understand; but his form is 'good' at best.

However, one really good thing is that negative player growth (retirement) is good. One of my older players Gerrard had only lost some stats physically, but his overall was still the same, and none of his other stats were affected. Additionally, he had been playing near enough every game, so this is good. Furthermore, Kolo Toure had only played a few games and consequently, he has dropped 3 overall, which is understandable due to his lack of games. I also checked well known good older players (such as Pirlo and Xavi) to see how they were doing, and they had also not dropped any points overall. Likely due to them playing consistently for their respective clubs, so from my testing, I would say negative player growth is pretty accurate ATM. However, I'll progress further and let you know.

Transfers need to be more frequent, particularly on deadline day. On deadline day in January, no transfers had been made at all, unless I sold one of my players or I bought somebody else's. The only big deal of that transfer window was Mata, the next closest was around £8 million. Also, I had the summer transfer window disabled, so all the clubs would have had plenty of money to spend.

Okay, after a full season, I actually agree with you more. The negative player growth has been improved, but, after a season, players like Xavi and Pirlo suddenly drop big overall. (Pirlo was 76 Xavi was 81). My old players don't drop so much (Gerrard only dropped 1 overall). So yeah still needs some work.

Also regarding my previous post about young players, after a season, all of them seem to at least grow one point, but again, some young players shoot up so quick. Like halfway through the season, Suso got to 81, and because he did so, so quick, he didn't grow again for the rest of the season. It should be a more gradual growth.

Is it also possible to have some players renew their contracts quicker? For example, if I really wanted to, I could have signed Xavi for Liverpool for free because he had only 1 month left on his contract. Top, loyal players at clubs, such as Xavi, should renew their contract quicker (not sure if this is just part of EA's doing, or whether it can be tweaked).

So this version "FIFA_14_BCP_Installer_23-11-2013" is compatible with MWM 1.0.1 db 4.0 Matrix ? just to be sure ! Could you upload a manual install version ? I still prefer to install it manually instead of the installer. Thanks

Yes it is. To install manually, you just need to run the installer, and install the tweaks to some other folder (like your desktop or documents or whatever) and then you can just drag and drop whatever you want. Just be sure to regenerate after.

@beta990 I'll test the new version today when I get the chance and let you know :)

Players that should be growing at least a bit now are (such as Agger, Cissohko, Enrique etc.) But, some younger players are still growing a little too quick. Again, Suso grows 7 points overall, the first 3-4 after the first month. I understand he has a high potential (89) but he still shouldn't be growing quite as quick as that. IMO, he should have grown 7 points after around 1.75 seasons. Sturridge grew a little slower, but after a pretty lame performance over the season, he still outgrew his potential by 1. Again, at the form he was playing at, it should have taken around 2 seasons for him to reach this.

Transfers still need some work. There was actually 1 transfer on deadline day this time, but for £7 million. There should be a lot more deadline transfers. Also, over the period of January, hardly any transfers were really made, and of those that were, the most expensive was only around £8 million.

is it possible to change the minimum of substitutions when i play friendlys? if i play normal league you have 3 subs, also in reallife. when friendlys are in reallife there are much more subs as league, i don't know how many but i think 11?

Okay, more testing done and things have definitely improved. For example, there are now bigger transfers occurring over the transfer period (I’ve only tested so far with the summer being disabled, and have based transfer reports on January alone, so I need to test the summer as well, to see how transfers are there). Mata and Rooney were sold both for figures close to £24 million. I know FIFA isn’t an accurate representation of player’s values in real life, but perhaps player’s transfer values should be tweaked a bit, as this seemed a little cheap (I was thinking at least around £30 million for each of them).


Player growth is a tad better. The ‘pattern’ seems as the following:

-If a player is aged 19 or above, and they have a large amount of growth required to reach their potential (example, Player A - overall = 62 potential = 78) they grow extremely quickly, regardless of how much they are playing.

-If a player is aged 18 or below, regardless of their potential, they grow more gradually. This is good because youngsters take time to develop.

-If a player is aged 23-24 or higher, and they have a few points to grow to reach their potential, they reach their potential after just a few months, again, regardless of their form/playing time etc.


Retirement is still the same for players that aren’t playing for me I’m afraid. Again two good examples in Xavi and Pirlo. Xavi dropped to 82 and Pirlo to 77. This isn’t gradual over the season either, it just happens towards the end. They shouldn’t drop that much or that sudden. Also, a goalkeeper I had out on loan (Reina) had dropped 2 overall, despite the fact that it would have been likely that he would be the first team regular Goalkeeper, and that he’s aged 31 (which for a goalkeeper isn’t really that old (Buffon for example)).

It seems with negative growth, my players do so properly (Gerrard playing near enough every game and only losing some physical stats, and then at the end of the season dropping only 1 overall, Toure dropping a few overall because he didn’t play much) but with other players not actually at my team (including those loaned out) still lose stats so quickly, but it’s typically sudden as well, as they only seem to drop overall right at the end of the season.

still: alot of young players dont grow at all for me. f.e. a 20yo 77defender doesnt grow at all, whilst a defender 18yo, 78 grows like 4 points a season.
both played same amount of matches, almost same ratings. but the one that grows i created myself whilst the other one has modded attributes.

others grow even if they dont play.
i want to push young player growth to 3-4 points a season if the player plays 30+ games with an average above 6,8 or something.

anything else i could try?

Love this mod. Can it help get more fouls called by the ref? Especially against the human by the cpu. Can you work with the Moddingway guys to get more strict referees please?

nah its probaly cos of rev mod.

got a pirated game without much problems.
im not paying for a game i have to tweak myself to be enjoyable lol.
