FIFA 14 3D Importer/Exporter

Any chance of making possible to import/export 3d models from fifa 13 or 11? Cause this could make possible the conversion of some of the heads available in 14 to 13 maybe or even allow those who still use 11 to convert some of the great faces made for 12 and 13...
And regarding the facegen models, will it be something like the cff import/export method?

Well since i've never really worked on fifa files before, i've no idea about the tools that were used until now and how they are working.

From the files sepak send me, i can tell you that no other tool will be needed. You'll only need to open the base rx3 file (if my thinking of this file is correct) and import the obj. The export will work right away :D.


Now the Plan goes like this:
1)Add facegen section and proper obj importing for immediate editing.
2)Add basic hair exporting (just like the head models now)
3)Try to make a fifa13 to fifa14 and backwards. I think its a waste of time to create a converter for fifa 11.

If everything goes well with the script maybe i'll do that in the future.

This with the stadium is good. I made the same thing and also I found that the only changes from FIFA 13 is that 3d model and textures are in different .rx3 files. Everything else is the same. Textures from 13 works for 14 too. I have one question. Will be it possible to import stadiums which are made by us in FIFA 14 .rx3 files? FIFA 13 .rx3 files works in FIFA 14 too, but will be better if we use 14 files.
There is SW13 made by ludo, but it cant open FIFA 14 .rx3 files. I hope that ludo will make new SW, but if he is busy, your work is other alternate for us.

it´s the same as for FIFA13, but we got some new freatures like bump textures, glowtextures ect, I´d written a post for a few weeks ago over facebook about the new stadiums and how they work :)

My goal is to write fifa 14 models, from scratch. I think they are way better organized because of that texture separation.
Although, it need a bit more data reading, because the texture assignment is not 1:1 relation as i was in fifa13 files, it was a bit complicated to get, but anyway, i have the texture names and the correct materials in the correct objects right now :P

great work with the blender script,
ive managed to export a stadium and im manually assigning the textures in blender,
do u have plans to make it automatic in assigning textures?
also noticed that the textures which were exported to folder were slightly messed up, not sure what happened. i decided to export them manually to png with the file explorer tool.
excellent work again, i only wish i had the skills to do it :(

Well i've made so many changes to the code, i don't even remember what may have gone wrong.

I can assure you though that in the next version (HUGE step). All textures will be exported in the fifa_tools folder. And i've added some operators to clean up all the mess in that folder.

For the texture assigning now.
Of course automatic. Thats the point of it. I am so lazy to even examine the extracted textures :P.

The screenshot i posted yesterday was my first attempt to import the stadium textures imported and assigned automatically to the correct objects.
(Of course that includes material making and assigning, and of course double and triple and quad textures in each material)

Today i managed to make the same thing with faces :)

You select the paths, then you need to click 2 buttons and voila:


I can also confirm hair model exporting :D

I'll test it a bit more just to ensure that everything is working properly, and i'll give the new beta tomorrow :D

This is great man. I have a question about hairs, would be possible somehow to combine hairs? I mean, for example, I'd like to combine Lugano's hair and De Rossi's beard to create Pirlo's style.

For now the only thing the export operator does is to rewrite in the original file the new vertex positions. For now it doesn't even take notice of the UV's

This will count for the hair too (for now)


The thing you are talking about requires the rewriting of the file from scratch.
It doesn't have to do with combining hairs or anything like that. The possibility of the complete rewrite of the files will give the power of writing ANYTHING we want in the file.

Not only hair combining, you'll be able to import a stadium part as a hair or a helmet, or alien tentacles, whatever object you have in blender will be able to be imported. I think you got my point.

That is the massive thing for me and it will just take time, because i need to fully understand the file structure before moving on on this.

If this is done then my work here is done. The script will be completed and i can assure you that we have enough time till that :P
