FIFA 08 ASI Loader is an extension to FIFA 08 which gives an ability to load/attach custom plugins (files with .asi extension) to the game process. Such plugins are loaded from "plugins" folder.

FIFA 08 Asset Loader is an .asi plugin which gives an ability to load assets (.o models, .fsh textures, etc.) from data/assets folder (instead of zdataX.big files).
Just put files you want to add/replace, into data/assets folder.

FIFA 08 Custom Text Loader is an .asi plugin which gives an ability to load text from .tr files. Read the thread for more info.

Requires FIFA 08 version 1.2 (executable size 2'656'256 bytes) or FIFA 08 version "unlimited fat fix" (executable size 6'255'718 bytes).

Installation: unzip AssetLoader08 folder, run "AssetLoader08Installer.exe"

Download updated, new plugin added: Custom Text Loader.

FIFA 08/EURO 08 Custom Text Loader is an .asi plugin which gives an ability to load text from .tr files. .tr files are new "translation" files where you can put your text. It's also possible to replace existing translation entries. Originally, text is stored in data/cmn/fe/<language>.db files.

.tr files must be saved in ANSI, UTF-8 BOM, UTF-16-LE BOM or UTF-16 BE BOM encoding. UTF-8 BOM is recommended.

.tr files must be placed inside "plugins" folder (subdirectories are possible, for example: "plugins/mytext/text.tr", "plugins/my/text/text.tr")

Examples of .tr file content

The general format is following:

Simple - put custom text at id 139

I installed fifa, I did not extract anything. But the error appears as I mentioned before. Any solution?

If you can not do something properly do not do it! I have tried all FIFA08 versions even found your 1.2 version, but result is same! AA!

Try to close any other application before you run FIFA 08.
I use FIFA 08 SoftClub, with all 3 patches.

Can we make this plugin work with this exe file?

For FIFA 07, ddraw.dll injecting works perfectly, but for FIFA 08 it doesn't work - plugins are loaded before the game executable is decrypted.
So currently, version.dll is used for FIFA 08. But it's unstable - sometimes, it happens, that other applications may load version.dll before you launch FIFA 08, and it means that it won't be loaded when you launch the game.
So a new solution must be found.

Have a .asi file (containing some sort of script - ball changed for fifa07). With what editor I can open the file to check the code to see what is happening?

Tried testing the custom text loader but it is not working.

I am attaching in my dropbox (zipped) the fifa08 executable many of us use. If your work works for us we can have different balls for particular matches and also have trophies in the game.

So I would be very glad if you can help and if I succeed than I share with fifa08 communities.

yes noticed that you made a new update. Let me show you a scrrenshot to make sure my files are ok. by the way no patches are installed for fifa08. So it is version 1.0
