I have a weird problem now.

I regenerated all bh's once(take care) and now, all players have different names, skills are always correct, for example Holtby is now Jaskelaainen. And now?

So you can't run this tool. You have to install FIFA.

Registry-Fix:
I made a picture for you, that should descripe the process very easy:


Type in Windows-Start-Menu: regedit.
You will see 1 tool regedit.exe -> start it.
Now go to this directory:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\EA Sports\FIFA 13\
Rightclick in the right field and select new -> String Value
Type the following name: Install Dir
The value is your FIFA path.

I don't know how that can be in relation with the bh-files. I think you have some files extracted from elsewhere? Try regeneration without taking care of extern files and look if the problem is solved.

Can I ask a seriously noob question? What is this tool used for? If we can't export, edit and then import the files back in, what's it actually used for? (I did not see an export/import function.)

Edit: I deleted the Squad 1 File, now its fine, but i still dont know how this could happen....

understood, i just thought it would be easier to do what i had said so you dont have the thread flooded w/ "help bernd, i have argghhhh version of fifa, youre tool isnt working".

Has anyone been able to get the game to read the extracted and edited db using this tool? If so, could you explain how? I don't care about editing graphics files, I'll only buy FIFA 13 if we can somehow edit, save and use the db files. Thanks.

Just extract the DB and click on Regenerate all BH files (take care of extern files).

Hi bernd, thanks for the reply. I don't understand how just extracting the DB accomplishes anything. Don't you have to extract the files, then edit them, then import them back in, before regenerating? And does the game read these newly-edited files, that's the bigger question. Someone I talked to yesterday said they edited the db but, even after regenerating, the game stills reads from the default files, not the edited files.

Just edit db and regenerate. The regenerator (FHL-BH-Editor) does the "import" automaticly (deletes the file reference from the bh).

when you import a face for a generic player eg kagawa do you have to start a new career because I imported his face and it shows up in a normal match but not in a career game I started before I imported it. Sorry for noob question

use revolution mod 13 & you dont have to edit the db for faces, just an lua file & your career will still be intact.

Hey Bernd, I'm having a lot of trouble regenerating in data1. It just doesn't untick anything automatically and if I tick manually and then regenerate all it reticks everything in data1.
Is it me?

Just want to clear out that I can untick manually and save, that works, but I have to backup that bh if I want to auto regenerate the others.
