Hey Bernd, I'm having a lot of trouble regenerating in data1. It just doesn't untick anything automatically and if I tick manually and then regenerate all it reticks everything in data1.
Is it me?

Oh. also with me!!!
I was trying to edit the cmsettings, ini but there's no way! It just cant't untick!:-(

Are you sure, you put the file in the right directory? And does your registry key end with an \?

See yourself:

Other BH do work perfectly.
Only data1 is not working!
Does the tool recognize edits to data1 with you?

I tried it and it works fine. I extracted the file "audiodata/sfx/loadfile_bootflow.xml" and regenerated all with taking care of extern files. When I now look at data1 I see the file unticked.
And the extracted file has to be here in my case:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Electronic Arts\FIFA 13\Game\audiodata\sfx

So, if I want to assign specific face to a player who already has it(Rooney or Defoe for example), what steps should I do and what tools to use?? Thanks for answer!

Tools work fine.

What I'm always doing first when I get a new FIFA, is to replace these 'nice' EA standard boots by real boots. But I don't find the texture for these boots. Does not work with the FIFA 12 files.

Same thing happens to me too. I edited cmsettings.ini yesterday to turn off transfers and used FM12 to regenerate. Today I edited something else and regenerated all bh with FHL and suddenly transfers were back on. I'm pretty sure it's broken somewhere, you should check it out.

its hard to fix an issue that doesnt happen to him, if he cant reproduce it, he cant fix it.

hopefully he knows what code could be the problem.

@techneek: Please write step by step what you are doing.

Like this:
1 Export file "..."
2. Start BH-Editor
3. Click on Regenerate all....
....

I've FOUND the solution.

I have to use FileMaster 12 regenerator each time I make a modification to a file and then use BH-Editor.

Example:
I make an edit to cmsettings.ini.

I start FM12 and press 'regenerate'.
I open FHL-BH-Editor and then regenerate also there...

But if then I make another modification to cmsettings.ini I have to do all this again...

Is there a certain .NET Framework I need to have installed to use the FHL-DB-Editor? It's able to load up, but it crashes for the slightest thing. i.e. using the scroll bars, selecting an input table, etc. I'm only able to select the .ini to view their contents. The other FHL tools work perfectly so I'm a bit baffled. Any help would be appreciated.

sidenote: I do have the full version of the game installed via Origin.

that makes no sense, once the file is set to the root in the header file it shouldnt matter how many times you open & edit the file it should always stay
set to the root & not the big.

Hm, no it works with the same framework as the other tools. I'm sorry, but I don't no how to solve your problem.

I knowi t's strange!

However I made a change to cmsettings.ini as a test, and then it was not recognized anymore! I had to reopen FM12 and regenerate! And only then it worked

Also, i've found that it's all due to FM12, It is FM12 that does the work of regenerating! I'm using Bh-editor only to see if FIFA recognizes or not the files!

I'm having a similar problem. Whenever I regenerate with Bernd's tool for data1.bh, it's 'reseting' all checkboxs back to checked. I tried 'regenerate selected BH-files' and I tried 'regenerate all BH files', both using 'take care of extern files'. Anytime I run either of these options, my data1.bh is getting 'reset' to have all links point to data1.big, instead of the folders.

However, if I use the 'save selected BH file' option, everything works fine.

Perhaps something in the difference between 'save selected BH file' and 'regenerate selected BH file' can explain what is going on? I'm not sure I understand the difference between these two options anyway.

But overall, the tool works great, and thank you for all your hard work, Bernd.

Thanks,
firefan98

@x119: Do you open the tool as admin? Thats important.

@firefan98: Yes there is a difference between save and regenerate. By saving, the tool doesn't look anywhere, it just reads your ticked or unticked files and save it that way. By regenerating it looks at the big and to the folder (if you click on the take care button).

Bernd yep, I tried also with admin powers but nope.

I repeat, with data1 it seems to work only FM12...And I have to regenerate with that tool each time I make a modification!
