hehe, thanks Theo for reminding me about this forum... i kinda forgot about it ... i am very busy in real life and i don't have much time ... but i'll try to visit this place at least a few times a week.

Steaua: Cernea, Goian, Radoi, Nesu, Marin, Cristocea, Nicolita, Lovin, Croitoru, Badea, Thereau.

Iacob came in for Thereau early in the first half as the latter got injured.

0-1 at half-time with Iacob scoring for us.

'57 0-2 Goian with a nice header. 1-2 final time, Goian scored in our goal too.



Good match, really impressed with Croitoru and I'm glad that Iacob finally scored.
Really worried for Thereau and Radoi though. Hope they're ok.

Radoi will be out for 3 weeks (:/), could of been a lot worse I think. Thereau for a month apparently. We just can't catch a break with these injuries.

Great victory today, I don't even remember the last time we scored 3 goals, wasn't it against Otelul in the Cup? Still, it took us more than 90 minutes in that game so it's nice to see we're back on track with our third straight victory , hadn't had a 3 game winning streak in the league since like matchday 6. Ochirosii's goal !!

The game next week scares me a bit, Shifty Petrescu is doing a fantastic job with Unirea, they've gone 8 straight games without conceeding a goal (6 wins, 2 draws). And we all know our record away is anything but great.

I dunno man, I would definitely rather have MM than fooking Gabi Popescu(?!?!) With all the **** he did, he was the one that brought in Zenga and Protasov, and went to Brazil to scout some players (Elton) who I still think will prove himself.

With MM gone, Becali is in pure control which scares me as he knows nothing about the game. I don't undertand why Oli is still here. We won 3-0 today but played like sh!t. No defense, offense, or midfield. If we make it to the group stages, who we gonna play with? Banel as DR, 34 yr old Gurita, and Gigel Coman ML?

I don't think Oli has a clue for the tactic at this time. We need some technical players like Elton, Dica, Croitoru to handle the midfield with quick passes and dribbles..... just my $.02....

Well Croitoru has been starting for 3 games now , and be sure that Dica would be playing if it wasn't for the injury. As for Elton, the media is trying to turn this into a Becali vs. Elton thing but it's clear that he's not playing because he has reported pain in his leg muscles to the trainers.

I'm not denying or taking away anything that MM did but when you think about it he did more bad than good for Steaua. He wasn't the one that took the team to the semi-finals of the UEFA Cup and the CL groups and the back to back titles, the players did that. I respect him for being curageous and looking for managers outside of Romania and coming up with Zenga and Protasov but eventually he settled for "an old friend" who has turned the great team that Zenga and Protasov put together into a mediocre squad.

I think in his tenure with Steaua, MM gave the club a negative vibe because of his stupid cries in the media and his ability to pick up verbal media fights with almost any stupid prick in that country. He's got too much attitude to be a general manager, a position which after all should be about staying in the dark and making your moves not coming out and starting fights with everyone, which creates controversy for the club. You don't see GMs here in the US giving interviews every single day and screaming out their opinions like they're on top of Everest. I appreciate what he did but GOOD RIDDANCE.

I thought Croitoru was first spotted by Olaroiu.

Para has done his time with us and has done it brilliantly. If the offers come then I think he has earned the right to play abroad.

Yeah, he's been one of our most constant yet under-rated players thorough the last seasons and he did his job everytime.
Would love to see him start at a good club with European action in France or Italy (honestly these are the only countries were I could see him perform).

In other news, Panasonic and Cosmote are fighting to get on the front of our kit, hopefully the first one will get there.
