Protasov finished 6th in Ukraine with Dnipro. I'm not 100% sure but weren't they like on the brink of relegation when he arrived there?

He is a very solid offensive coach and I hope we'll see him at Steaua again someday. Just look back in the beggining of this thread and check out some of the score lines we had with him as manager. Now only the remnants of his offensive schemes are seen on the pitch when Steaua plays. The slow, boring style of Olaroiu is quickly stamping itself allover the players.

A win on Wednesday propels us to first place then of course we have Sportul at home which can either make us BIG favorites or take us out of the race completely. Should be an exciting week for us Steaua supporters (Y)

Ochirosii making his official debut :rockman:. Our game has changed since he entered, even though he gets only 15 minutes. Waiting for more from him, he's definetly a good prospect.

We will play our strongest side against Sportul this weeked. Olaroiu has not lost a single match when that 11 has started. Even when Protasov was our manager in the first half of the season we did not lose a single game when we started that 11. Let's hope that streak will continue!

CFR Cluj are leading Rapid, haide Dorinele!

We are looking good against Sportul, dominating the match. But the playing conditions are difficult, I heard there are around 30 degrees, so the game was paused a couple of times for the players to hidratate (sp?).

Edit: Nicolita makes it 1-0! But Rapid leveled the score against Cluj :(. Come on guys, let's get the 3 points.

Looked kinda suspect on the goal but other than that he was ok.

We can be crowned champions next week if Rapid tie or lose against Sportul and we beat Jiul (which we should). :rockman:

Ogararu is officialy gone :(. He will play in the last two games which is good news because we definitely need him. He has been great for us on that right flank for a couple of seasons now and he's definitely gonna be missed. We're gonna need to go shopping for a RB in the off season because I don't think Balan is a good enough option and don't even get me started on Petre Marin on the right :nape:

Anyway I hope he will have a great career at Ajax and it's always great to see Romanian players go to such prestigious clubs :jap:

That article also states that although Ajax are interested in Nicolita too, Gigi is not thinking about letting him go yet :rockman:. It also states he's interested in getting Daniel Niculae. I don't wanna sit here and talk about how good he is because he is after all a Rapid player but man if we get him (H)!!! Watch out Dica --- Niculae would be deadly.

"Hamburg are already considering Daniel Niculae an important player for the next season, offering him a 700k salary per year.
The Hamburg scouts followed the striker's performances during some championship games and in last week's Romanian Cup final. The germans are set to pay Niculae's release clause of 3.3mil euros, offering him a 4-year contract, with a 700k salary that will increase by 150k each season. The Rapid officials are not sure that the player will refuse Hamburg's offer.
The striker also said that he'd be honoured to play in the Bundesliga."
