I doubt we'll get new kits for next season, I mean I haven't heard any type of announcement yet and our CL Qual. 2nd round match is only 30 somethin days away.

It's not really new kits, just the same ones but with the number on the front...From what I saw on tv, they look slightly better.

OMG I can't believe it Protasov actually signed a contract

Kosmalski zarobi w Bukareszcie 5 razy więcej niż w Polonii. Napastnik Polonii Warszawa, Jacek Kosmalski (29 l.), dostał znakomitą ofertę od rumuńskiego potentata, Steauy Bukareszt – pisze Super Express.

- W nowym klubie zarabiałbym pięć razy więcej niż w Polonii. Nie jestem już młodzieniaszkiem i muszę myśleć o zabezpieczeniu rodziny - mówi "Super Expressowi".

Przedstawiciele najbardziej utytułowanego rumuńskiego klubu rozmawiali z polonistą telefonicznie. Dziś lub jutro przylecą do Warszawy.

We played our first match today with Protasov as the manager; the game was against FK Gorica, champions of Slovakia and we came out winners 2-1. Iacob played the first 45 minutes and was apparently the most dangerous striker on the field, he got a penalty but Dica managed to miss it . Anyway we were down 1-0 but our second team scored two goals in the 78th and 89th to pull out the victory.

that's because he's a very young player and he has been playing on youth teams until now. I'm glad that we are grabbing all of these young players from several youth systems around the country. A few years of developing at Steaua and they'll be magnificent players. About Iacob, I think he's great just what we needed, a tall and strong set piece striker.

Martin Tudor

Astăzi Steaua s-a despărţit de Martin Tudor. Aflat la final de contract, goalkeper-ul a părăsit în această dimineaţă cantonamentul Stelei din Austria. "Aveam o înţelegere cu Tudor ca, în cazul unei oferte mai bune, să îl lăsăm să plece. Se pare că aceasta a venit, dar mă aşteptam ca Martin să termine perioada de pregătire alături de noi. Asta e situaţia. Considerăm că el şi-a făcut pe deplin datoria pentru Steaua. În privinţa postului de portar, Steaua nu va rămîne descoperită, cît de curînd va fi achiziţionat un alt goalkeeper", a declarat preşedintele executiv al Stelei, Mihai Stoica

Damn! I always thought he was our best goalkeeper, now I wonder who gets to play if Hamutovski will be injuried, the goalkeeper coach? :funny:

Tudor was too good to be a reserve GK so I'm glad we let him go, maybe he will go to CFR Cluj where he will play and then come back to Steaua better than ever. As for Hamu he's a beast he won't get injured and he's consistent as well something that Tudor is not.
