WOW! Could not have hoped for a better draw!! I would have liked CSKA to get an easier side, so they'd be a chance of progressing further. But at least we got the worst team left! 
And the Semi-Finals, should we make it.
I guess the disadvantage of the Quarter Finals draw is that there is a big chance there is going to be Madrid, Man Utd and Inter all left in the Semis!

Ok, so I'd show you screen shots and stuff, but it was 0-0 first leg against Shakhtar, away from home.
I was going really attacking at the end, and even playing with two upfront (AK47 running off Kipre), but it wasn't our night. We had one CCC to their 0, but they had 10 shots to our 6, plus loads more possession.
Still, I would have signed for 0-0 before the game! 1-1 would have been nicer, but 0-0 and they've got to come back to Vladivostok - it's a good start.
In other news, CSKA have drawn 2-2 away to Inter. That's HUGE!!

A little bit embarrassing, I forgot to change back to Kolotsey in goal, after I gave Budakov a run in the League 4 days earlier as I needed another non-FGN player.
Turns out, the right goallie was a very important choice!!
Budakov saved two penalties!! We're into the Semi Finals!!!! (and playing our rivals - CSKA!!!)

Lineups for Leg 1. We're missing Cassiano (longterm injury 
), Bigvava (suspension) and Honda (suspension).
Ryabinin is a youngster that I bought from Luch 2 in my last game, and has been loaned at twice (the past two years) and is finally coming good for us. He is a fast CB who can play RB (or LB at a push), a little bit like Lukin - but not as good. I'm starting Kipre, but will bring on AK47 to add some pace against tiring legs late in the game.
This could be Kipre's last start in Europe, because the League looks like it's ours, so I can play him more there (rest AK for cup and Europe), and AK47 should have the League Golden Boot sewn up now, just as Kipre should win the Champions League Golden Boot (since Madrid and Barcelona are no longer in the competition).
Kipre also has his Russian Passport now (as do a few other guys! )

I was just thinking how we've really missed the X-Factor Cassiano brings, he can belt in a long range effort, a free kick, etc against the run of play.
Then Dragan - who is starting because Cassiano is out - dribbles from his left wing with the ball, diagonally across to the top right of the box, before banging the ball in the bottom right!! 1-0
