Kewell was grossly mismanaged, always played when he was still injured
Cry me a river. Aussies will always blame Leeds for his mistakes. (H)

Few things

1) Gotze is really having a great season and he's now top of the scoring charts in Germany which is pretty cool. I feel a little bad for Lewandowski because he is not playing the role that he was brought here to play, but as long as the team is humming along it's hard to complain much.

2) BVB lost again (H)

3) I had a dream last night that Ribery scored a goal from past the halfway line and the shot was a line drive straight into the upper V of the net. My first thought was "aw man, they're gonna kill me on SG for saying that Ribery is finished".

Typical Pep and #9 forward

Lewandowski has much more to his game than your average #9, though. He's probably one of the most complete strikers there are right now.

The ousted Ibra says hi

Pep isn't playing with a single #9, Lewandowski isn't playing the lone striker role he does so well. Instead he's sharing space with Gotze and Muller.

That is what a Lazio fan wrote when the score was 0-5

I'll let Mus explain that (H)

"This, as Guardiola has now successfully convinced the world, is not tiki-taka. Yet this is absolutely Guardiola's Bayern. Three at the back playing a high line, with a total of three players on each wing, all overlapping perpetually. A rock solid distributor in Xabi Alonso, and a couple of effortless space creators in the centre of attack in Thomas Muller and Robert Lewandowski."

In action it looked like some sort of 2-3-4-1 - it was pretty good, alaba, Alonso and lahm are all tactically astute enough to really pull it off

One more goal and they will make the area code (H) 06

I don't really have the opportunity to watch games, can someone describe the formation? I'm assuming Alaba was nominally the left CB, but basically operated as a left back?

Also, I love Dante in this pic

I only saw the first half, but Alaba played on the left as a CB like you assumed, didn't really go forward that much. Bernat was on the left wing, Xabi sitting pretty deep at times etc..

That's pretty much how I saw it,

-----------Lewy
Bernat-Gotze-Muller-Robben
----Alaba-Alonso-Lahm
-----Boateng--Benatia
