I wonder if the defensive approach most teams take against Barça is the right one. I mean even in their arguably most famous loss (the semi-final against Inter), it was only in the 1st leg, where Inter actually attacked, that they won. In the 2nd leg they defended beautifully and still lost the match 1-0. I can't remember a team acting strictly on the defensive and winning against this Barça. They might pull off a draw if they defend superbly and get extremely lucky.

All in all Barça is very powerful, attacks like crazy and has some of the best technically gifted players in the world, but if you're admitting you'll have to defend for 90 minutes to maybe get a draw, than you may as well not get on the pitch at all.

I know what you're trying to say, but I think you're wrong. Different manager, different players; it can't possibly be the same style. The idea and tactics might be the same (although the tactics definitely aren't), the style has changed. Barça have this culture, if you will, from La Masia all the way to the Champions League XI, but that doesn't mean that independently of the players and managers the style is going to remain exactly the same.

Yeah of course. Different players have different styles and strength which will modify play. Which will make the team play slightly differently on the whole.

IMO their style stayed pretty much the same but their players are much stronger now and team chemistry is WAY better.

Agreed, there is no honor in playing this way, unless maybe you're a third-division team. However, I think the teams that do try to play some offense get shredded, look foolish, and end up playing in their own half anyways because Barcelona keeps possession.

Valdes is to Barcelona what Palop is to Sevilla: A goalkeeper with a lot of heart who is a hero 95% of the time, but then ends up doing something like this

No word about Dani Alves' fabulous season? :(

The guy is completely oustanding. Already 12 assists this season!

What I want to know is how the **** every single team Barça plays against leaves Alves completely unmarked 100% of the time. :D

Oh and tits.
one question for barca fans........why was javier mascherano bought for that amount of money? he might be useful in the 2nd leg against us along side busquets sacrificing pedro.but still why was he actually bought??
