new season thread!!!

gonna put some placeholder pics and text as the first post is developed into something worthy of the various things that need to be recognized: header, trophies, honours section (Laporta), etc. (all ideas are welcome; PM me)

i didn't want to explicitly write about catalunya in the first, so i added a specially-coloured barcelona badge (at the bottom of the post) to metaphorically reflect the catalan identity behind this club ... hopefully it succeeds in succinctly conveying the point ...

To an extent, as Sevillista has pointed we spend alot more than other spanish teams. But I think the base of our talent is our youth academy with a mix of cash splashing. But I think we are a little different than the other european power houses, who's base is buying.

so Albiol from Valencia and Sergio Ramos from Sevilla don't count for Real Madrid? and Dani Alves came from Sevilla, so David Villa's transfer isn't breaking any new ground ...

and I don't know how, if Valencia and Sevilla qualify as "direct rivals", Man Yoo buying Berba from Spurs, or Rooney from Everton, isn't the same ... Cashley from Arse to Chelsea also qualifies ... Gallas from Chelsea to Arsenal as well ... there are other examples I'm sure ...

the biggest teams in every league buy from the not-so-big teams ... happens everywhere ...
