i am a personal fan of kanoute, he would be a good choice, but i dont see sevilla let him go any time soon, drogba could have been a good choice too but he just signed a 4 year extension with chelsea, for me a good choice and more sitting to reality could be crespo; he is a very rentable and relaible player; i know its hard to fit etoos shoes but thats not the case is it; etoo could be back up till march maybe; plus you need to count the time to him to get in rhitym whit the team again; so i dont consider buying a new striker beeing a waste of money imo; barcelona just need to analize their choices and who is very rentable; if not i might to think barcelona have the money to burn either way.

I'm so sorry for Puyol and his family. I hope it doesn't effect his great play. Anyway about this striker situation. Barca could buy a striker, but nothing too expensive. Some1 who doesn't ask for 20 millions and who can do his job, until Eto'o comes back. Even a loan wouldn't be that bad idea, if they could get some1 good enough.

Starting XI
Deportivo - Barcelona 1:1, FT. Both goals were scored from penalties.

The first half was one of the most boring halves I've seen in a long time, and the second could have been awesome if it wasn't for Cantalejo's constant whistleing. He interrupted the flow every chance he had.
I'm disappointed in the team for not being able to maintain the lead (again).

The result is fair. I could say Depor even had better chances to score. Iniesta MOM, at least for me.

We need Eto'o.

---------------------

Gerard's brother, Sergi Lopez, was found dead. Two deaths affect the Barcelonismo in two days. They suspect it was a suicide.

this game was perfect example why we need a new striker; saviola needs to take advantage every game he plays if he wants rijjkard confidence

an we are on top again ; what a freaking mix of emotions on todays game ; injurys, expulsions; dinho's brilliance; the most important thing is the 3 points ; but when dinho scored his second goal i freaking crap mi self; i jumped up my sofa like a little boy hehehe; the only bad thig is those freaking injurys; i hope messi and edmilson can be back very soon. this is the least we needed right now.

Starting XI
FC Barcelona 3 - 1 Real Zaragoza

Ronaldinho saved us, two goals, including a beautiful free kick. Saviola scored the third from offside, but it doesn't matter since the match was practically over. Motta was sent off unfairly, btw.

All in all, good game, valuable three points.

We're top again, where we belong! Highest number of points, most goals scored, best goal difference, and the only team to lose just one game!!! Visca el Barca! Feels good to be on top again. :rockman:

The only downer is Messi's injury. It could be two months, so he could basically join the team together with Eto'o. :(

what a game! the ronaldinho free kick was absolutely brilliant. and the best thing was you could hear the fans doing the slow clap in the background building up to it......clap.............clap........clap....clap..clap.goallllllllllllllllllllllllllll!!! hahah

and the celebrations afterwards showed just how much that goal meant to everyone, it was just an amazing moment!

back on top where we belong, and now finally, for the first time in over a MONTH, there is no midweek CL or copa del rey game and the players have a whole week off to recover. enjoy the rest boys, you guys have deserved it!

apparently Messi out for three months, thats a huge blow to Barca , Luque was class at Depor if he's cheap then he'd be worth the gamble.

beeing the best in the world has a price; all this injurys are the perfect example our players give it their best and most of them need a rest they are not machines; not even the rotation estrategy by rijjkaard can forseen this; now we only have guddy as a true striker for the next few games;

btw ; i agree the most wise thing is to bring dos santos to the first team; the bad thing this not going to happen cause he cant play; cause he has the same papers problems messi had some years ago;

Larsson, Adriano, Tristán y Luque are the candidates to come in january

My God.

1. Larsson - No. He's what, 35 now? I think his departure was permanent and I really don't want him back. It's like a guy said on another forum, Larsson has achieved glory with us and he's hailed as the King in Barcelona. Coming back and potentially failing would ruin his great image in this Club. I think we should let his Barca career rest, because bringing in old glory isn't going to help that much, IMO. He's probably tired from the competitions in Sweden so that's another reason why he wouldn't be a good idea. Besides, he's aged since leaving, and I'm not too eager to take a 35 year-old. I love Larsson, and I'll always remember him as the man who won us the Champions League. Nevermind the important role of the scorers, it was Larsson pulling the strings to get Eto'o and Belletti to where they could score from. He'll always be this perfect football player for me, who succeeded wherever he went. I don't want this image of him spoiled which is why these rumours piss me off. Why do people do this? Larsson has an intact relationship with the Barcelonismo, he's a legend, why ruin that with a possible failure? I don't get it.
(btw Al I'm not aiming at you by this, I know the rumour appeared a while ago)

2. Adriano - No. Two - three years ago I would have jumped at the chance, but not now. He hasn't scored in like a year, and when he goes to Brazil to recover his form or whatever (imagine that), he is found drunk, sleeping on the table. We don't need that man, because his professionalism is as low as it can get, and besides, he doesn't seem all that much of a player anymore.

3. Tristan - I won't even talk about this. A big NO.

4. Luque - YES! Finally a reasonable option. He is a great player, I've admired him at Deportivo. He wouldn't cost a lot because he's not a big name, so... if we're going to get anyone, I want it to be him.

to be honest i dont like none of these options; not even luque; he has been in bad form since a while too; he isnt the player anymore when he was for depor;

i think i good buy could be fred from lyon ; i cant believe barcelona havent even try an aproach;

another rumour player is palacio from boca juniors but he is not a true 9 and the deal is for him to come next season;

but what iam really excited is we been coveting Huntelaar; this kid has some real potential to be great; iam excited barca are keeping an eye on this kid.

barca have been coveting forlan for a while now; tought his form hasnt been that good; i still think he is an amazing player ; he still has the juce he just needs to play in new airs;

here are some other players could be some good options tought this are just my personal opinion

kanoute
crespo
makaay
klose
fred
arouna kone
