F.A Cup Arsenal vs Man Utd

how did Toure miss that header?

he was probably nervous, thinking that a litle touch would do it.
Poor finishing cost Arsenal the game. We were pretty lucky to be honest.

I wonder they'll crumble as badly as last season.

by the way people, check out my new Sig. Like it?

I saw the first half of the match and 10 minutes of the second half, then I had to go to a referee clinic... :p

The first 3 minutes or so was really scary. Thank god Wes Brown and Roy Carrol were alert. United's goal was a great play, Giggs looked at Solskjaer to fool the defenders and gave Scholes a nice open shot, what a great play. :rockman:

I also agree that Wes Brown had a stellar game, I guess Fletcher was ok too. (H)

maybe. I won't start it for the same reason as you.

watched the game live, havent read any reports or anything yet and i would like to make a few points

- the ref was totally biased... giving pires a yellow for a small slap while not even giving keane/scholes anything on HORRIBLE challenges? it wasnt even just one tackle, they were both tackling like fu.cking animals
- there should have 2 clear cut penalties, the 2 handballs, and i think the one where bergkamp came down was also a pen but i have yet to see it in slo mo
- credit to caroll, if he didnt save the toure header then arsenal would have won, and i have no doubt in my mind about that
- credit to ferguson, got the first goal then put 11 men beind the ball... exactly what should be done when you are against arsenal
- keane lucky not to have an own goal
- credit to solskjaer, if he wasnt there (when manure scored) then toure would have picked up scholes
- bellion should have killed off arsenal right there, unlucky bounce

edit: THANKS SCHOLES! REYES OUR MOST INFLUENTIAL PLAYER TODAY IS OUT FOR 3 WEEKS! GOOD JOB FUCK ER

I agree with all of those comments, except that Dennis Bergkamp dived there. United defender didn't move his leg, it was Dennis who struck his leg into an oppenent and tripped.

and the ref was not biased, he gave Lehman only a yellow for that clearly intended push on Ronaldo. He was just really bad. It wasn't the best of performances from the referee.

Oh btw Scholes did get a yellow on that tackle on Reyes.

i didnt see the bergkamp in slo mo so i cannot really comment on that

lehmann was rightly booked for that, i agree... when a ref is biased to team b, then if team a does someting that is RIGHTFULLY wrong then the consequences should be the same result anyway... and considering that the ref was asking the linesman what happened, when in the slo mo reaply THE LINESMAN IS LOOKING THE OTHER WAY shows that there is a little conspiracy

im glad scholes got that yellow, he should have had a red on other tackles also

more notes:
- ronaldo is just fu.cking amazing period... it was nice tho when clichy stopped him a couple of times
- if i was pires i would have made sure that neville had no kids - that guy is intentionally irritating everyone... look at the way hes holding onto pires

I'd like to pick up the current state of Thierry Henry. He's been rather frustrated lately, dirty tackles and losing easy balls. If he keeps going to this direction, there could be little chances for Forssell to take the golden boot. (hey it'd take just 2 hattricks!) :p

Fergie was 100% solid too, making exactly the right choices on every situation. I HOPE ARSENE WILL FINALLY LEARN TO APPRECIATE THE WORLDS OLDEST CUP COMPETITION.

henry has really been showing that he cant handle a man on him for 90 minutes... he gets frustrated and hes giving in to it... in my skool team i always have a man on me and i still manage to average a hattrick each game, he should learn how to get away from his marker

arsenal not appreciating the competition?? ur kidding me rite? if arsenal didnt appreciate it then you would never see henry, vieira, pires in the fa cup games... if arsenal werent playing 4 games (against the 4 hardest teams to beat in the premiership) in 8 days then no doubt abt it that wenger would field his strongest side... its quite dumb how the FA think newcastle being in the uefa cup is more important than arsenal being in the champions league

if its any consolation, last year when arsenal won the fa cup we felt like sh.it, so its not THAT bad to have lost in the SEMI's of the fa cup... that only 3 losses in a little over/less than 40 appearances in the fa cup

Yeah, Bergkamp did dive. It was a bit obvious.

I wish we'd get Frey in the summer, Lehmann is a good keeper but we can't afford a keeper who goes ballistic every second game. That push on Ronaldo was uncalled for and I was groaning in disbelief when I heard it on the webcast.

Arsene doesnt respect the cup. wenger put out a team capable of beating manchester united, u cant blame him if they have 4 games in a week.

Plus if winning the cup twice in a row and getting to the final 3 times in a row doesnt show his respect for the cup then i dont what does.

think before u say things that dont make sense
But I just love to piss you off with this.. (H)
I've said the same like three times before, and the reaction from you has always been the same :)

you could've won this anyway, the two handballs from Silvestre.. :hump:
