well what can you say, greece the european champions, congratulations, i just got in now from partying with some of my greeks friends ands its 11:30, so from the start of the match till now, im glad to see the greeks win cause i dont know what i would have done if the portugese won, i called the goal before the corner, i guess i had a feeling

im feel bad for rui costa i would have loved to watch him raise the trophy, otherwise tough luck for the rest of them, c.ronaldo crying well balling was a true show of emotion but i think it was a little much

i guess this tournament can be summed up in a couple of words that i dont even like.....defence wins championships

p.s. for all the canadians, that was the last carl fletcher broadcast, may we all have a moment on silence

oh yeah and how could i forget that guy who ran onto the field, threw the barca flag at figo and decided to take on the net which was ******* hilarious, i couldnt stop laughing, that must have hurt what a moron

team brasil has scored ONLY 16 goals in his last 15 games with ronaldo....inclusive 3 penalties against argentina....

this is very pathetic for a team like brasil....

the worldcup final performance from brasil against germany wasnt great...germanys team has controlled the game more than brasil but a mistake from kahn and the fact of better inidividual players (ronaldo) have safed brasil..germanys team wasnt called great before the worldcup (even in germany)and hasent played with the best players in this WC(some was injured), not to forget that germanys only worldclass player ballack hasent played in the final for the fact he got his second yellow card in the semifinal..

hehe...I think I'm going to control my disappointment by playing Fifa 2004 (til PES 4 comes out for Xbox!) and having a little rematch. I'm going to put Greece where it belongs--in my food, not in my tournament!

In all seriousness though, congrats to Greece, and let's get 'em next time. At least now Scolari has more time to get to know the players and develop better strategies to take Portugal far into the World Cup. Party up Greeks, it's your day to celebrate!

All I can say is "WOW !!!!". I mean I just watched one of the greatest moments in football history ever. Greece, against all odds, have proved to the whole world who bash them for their negative football that you need more than just big names to win. Greece fought bravely througout the tournament and proved everyone wrong. Congratulation to Greece for a lovely defensive football they play and their show of determination and bravery. Last night, they just became Gods . . .

I watched the game with my greek friends at the heart of Danforth, and all i can say is WOW. ***ing AMAZING!! Partying all night, lets just say 'distracted' girls , just an unforgettable day. An experience ive never experienced before, did i mention it was amazing?

So,back in 2000, where were the big teams then?England,Germany out from the very first round,Spain having lost to Norway,yet mysteriously qualified after this 4-3 against Serbia(2-3 after 90 minutes,I remind you),Italy playing ugly football,yet reaching the Final-OK, it was somehow Holland and France who saved the tournament,though the French needed the whole world to turn upside down in order to win the trophy(remember their games against Portugal and Italy).
So, as a conclusion-stop blaming Greece, using naive statements such as how poor this EURO was. We have seen even poorer tournaments, but noone complained then as it was always a poor,yet big and well supported team who won it. Greece won,that's the fact and it's not their fault if others were bad. After all,Greece is not the big name that could wipe their opponents out simply by being there-so don't look for excuses.

Well done to Greece. I must admit I wanted Portugal to win the match but I don't support either team so the result does not bother me.

I only wished it could have been Italy holding the trophy.

I have a lot of remorse and respect for Portugal, they did their best and did well to get into the final after many doubted them to even qualify for QF's.

Hopefully we can all move on, let the Greeks enjoy their celebrations and wait until the club season restarts. That's where I can support a winning team.

It was a good tournament but I have to say I expected a better one. I'm just being honest.
