What a group that was...everyonewas talking about the match-up between England and Germany and in the end Portugal and Romania came out on top.

The 3-0 against Portugal's second string was one of the most embarrassing games I've ever seen.

Portugal were an impressive team in EURO 2000. No doubt about that ! I even predicted that this team could win the EURO 2000...

I believed they were called a 'golden generation' team in some newspapers/media.

and it was...it finished in euro 2004 though...many players were gettin too old...fernando couto, rui costa, figo, paulo sousa, joao pinto(both not in euro04), etc. were part of that generation

they won the world cup u-19 and u-20 if i'm not mistaken...

I love Hollands group :fool: this is what i wanted :rockman:

What i did not want Holland to do is be in a group like B or F where they would have had 2 quality sides to fight against for the qualifing spots.

yes, holland are guaranteed...fantastic draw for them...

portugal had a fairly good draw, but it'll be us an servia for the top spot..they only conceeded 1 goal in the WC qual...great, great team..and probably we won't have scolari, so it could be an upset..

how do England get such easy draws? the thing i think threw a spanner in the works was greece being top seed, so a bigger team dropped from that pot.

Romania, Bulgaria, Belarus, Albania, and Slovenia are no easily overcome opponents. Especially when your people is known for its tendency to underestimate the opposition, like we are.

Luxembourg, yes, they are crap.
